They send the tracking number as soon as the order is placed. Does it still say "BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED"? If so, it has not shipped. email nick. Brian

In the right box for burps only, I would think they will take it. . .you don't think?
  3. Someone sent me that link last week. Awesome driving. You can see a lot of black marks on the pavement from all the practice. I like when comes around the building at 2:45 in the video. looks like he is going to take out the front of the car and it just slides around perfectly. . . Brian
  4. You should be able to fit 8 GA. That is what I run with my subs. Not sure what coils Steve runs on his subs, but assuming 4500 watts per sub, D1 coils would be at 48 amps, D2 would be at 34 amps. If you assume worst case D1 coils for resitance loss in the wire, you could see a 15-20 watt difference of actual power to the speaker between 8 ga and 4 ga.
  5. Should not be a problem. My cousin runs almost 1500 watts in his civic with the factory alt and a yellowtop.

  7. Form has had problems lately. Should be working now.
  8. That makes no sense. . . If you measure the resistance with an ohm meter, you are reading the DC resistance. The voice coil has an inductance, so when an AC signal is passed through it, it has an impedance. This impedance varies with frequency.
  9. Drove the van to work today and forgot the camera so I can't make a video. No more cranking it around the house. Neighbors were cool while I tested and tuned before world finals, but I won't keep subjecting them to those volume levels. Man it is crazy now that all 6 subs are working!!! Going to have to do something about more alternator, or maybe an adjustable regulator so I can slowly ramp the charge back up. It only takes a minute or so at high volumes and the alt can't keep up. Too much stress on it and I end up having to hook the batteries to the charger to keep from hurting the alt. I clamped the power inputs to the 40.1's, and it looks like I am pulling just shy of 3000 amps when everything is running full tilt! Brian

I can get you a quote. Are you actually in Anchorage, Alaska? You just need (1) 12"? Brian
  11. I think they were all working when I did the 159.7. I should have known there was a problem when music dropped to 155. Between the burp and playing music, I adjusted SSF's and LP fillters. Must have hit the switches while making the adjustments. The song I play is at my exact peak and is normally within 1.5 dB of a burp. We will see. 160 is still the goal. I want to get plastic racing seats for it which should gain me at least 1 dB (gained .9 with the passenger seat out).
  12. So I just figured out today that 2 of my subs were not playing at finals. I thought they were not moving much because they were new. Turns out the two amps they were connected to were both set to SLAVE instead of MASTER. Man what a difference with all 6 subs playing. I hope that solves my low impedance problem too! Brian
  13. Safe to assume it is a 12"?? When you say fart box, SPL only? Plan on playing music? What vehicle? Brian
  14. What amp do you have now? Can you add a second one? If you want sundown, do a pair of SAZ1500D's. Brian
  15. 10-4 then imm shut my mouf Guess I need to shut my mouf. . .
  16. shoudl have the weight on the UPS tag. . .
  17. We just received our first proto of the 22" 12 spoke basket and Im rather happy with it. Got me thinking that the IB crowd might be interested in a 22" version. Currently the surround and rubber gasket are being tooled and I should have a surround sample in about 2 weeks. But... cone bodies are going to be done in house with composites (initially this size was geared towards high power autosound). But I might be able to do a curvilinear cone that isnt using a core to keep the costs lower. Let me know if this sounds interesting... definitely could make it happen.

  19. 8 net or gross? I have run 15's in 3 ft each tuned to 35 Hz and they sounded great. . .
  20. When I turned my crossover above 65 Hz, to me it killed the overall sound of the driver. I agree, you know I had a dual tumult setup before the AVA's, and I had them crossed over around 80-85 Hz. Brian
  21. But he said shipping weight, which I would say is close to 60 lbs.

Been over that many times. BTL is louder - even on 100 watts. . . Problem here is comparing a 12" to a 15". With 1200 watts, if he has the room to build the correct enclosure for the 15", my guess for daily music will be to go with the 15" BL. Brian
  23. I would want at least 80 sqin per 18. 16 sqin per cuft of enclosure if it is over 5 ft^3. . . Brian
  24. I NEED new subs! Get moving Scott!!!!
