  1. Ive seen people that compete use thin pvc pipes cut in half and taping it to the walls/edges of the enclosure. Does this help create better airflow? Increase SPL?
  2. Audiopipe is CEA Compliant and does do rated power. I would recomend going with the ap3000 just because i would have a bit more trust on the one i know works well. And 500 watts wont really make a diference in sound to the ear at least. Get the 3500 if you have to wire at 1 ohm.
  3. Very clean work man. I would open up a box shop with that shop you have. Haha
  4. Edward got a 14k? =O Build looks great. For the time building it its impressive.
  5. I would hope if a random subwoofer appeared at the doorstep that they would do the appropriate actions to find out what needs to be done to it that day. Whether its apples to oranges or not, its what Fi/AA faces as competition. Some of their competition is SA, DD, IA and DD. All of which will do a recone in less that 40 days and dont have near the low reputation for customer service that they have. Im not doubting that their products are top of the line because they simply wouldnt be in business if their products weren't. But i think with all these complaints coming up about them, they need to do something to alleviate whatever is causing this issue, whther its hire more people or shave excess off the companies. No matter what the excuse is or the comparisons, 40 days for a recone is absolutely ridiculous and horrible. DD has a MUCH larger staff then every company you just named. Alright bro, check this, you and one person are to re-cone 100 woofers, ship 500, and assemble 1000. In two weeks. Think you can do it? Yes DD is much larger, hence their prices. But they make an excellent product with excellent customer service. And a dealer that isnt trying to make $200+ off every subwoofer sale will give you a DD price close to all these other companies. But thats not the issue here. No i dont think 2 people can re-cone 100 woofers, ship 500, and assemble 1000 in two weeks, so responsible business practice would tell me that i need to hire more people so my company doesnt fall on its face. I would think priority goes to the people that correctly send in their sub with the necesary information. Fi isnt the F.B.I trying to find out who the sub belongs to.
  6. I have yet to complain about Fi Audio. Great CS in my case and great products. Both Sundown and Fi are great companies and at the end of the day they take care of their customers, get money, and are trying to find new ways provide the best of service. No point to saying "this company does this this company does that" from my p.o.v Good luck with your sub man. Im sure Nick will get it taken care of.
  7. At 31hz!!! Nicceeee!
  8. That video is brutal. And yeah Mexico is crazy now. Those guys don't even flinch. They probably were so shoked that they showed no emotions. Either way they knew they were gonna get killed
  9. About 8-12 inches at most. Everytime i meter i always gain 2+db's in a Tahoe.
  10. What i would do is keep at 2 ohms.. Value will probably decrease if you run it at .5 on insufficient electrical because its been under more stress.
  11. hahahaha this ^^ toooooo funny
  12. When your in the process of doing it.. Your penis is shooting out sperm. Nothing like when it explodes but it still does.
  13. I was listenin to my btl in my room a hile ago and i heard a scratching/popping type of sound. I thought clipping so i unhooked the wires and the sub still made the sound as i pushed down on it... Wires on the box were wrong. If your sub isnt wired correctly it may also be the problem.
  14. When i increased cone area i metered wayy mor! Youlm should see a diference more likely.
  15. Box is looking nice. Why not keep the bl's ?
  16. If you say its only noticable on the higher frequencies im thinking its not the dustcap. But chack anyways. If it were the dustcap it would probably make the noise even at 30hz,40hz, which would be anoying to hear not just a pop im guessing. I had the same problem on a diferent sub and came out to be coil rub because of bad spiders.
  17. He dosnt? He has 2 mayhems he bought from kevin. We metered just one but didnt do too well. Hes gonna try running both for the show.
  18. He drive the green and silver suv it looks like a kia. You know him i think on FB i think. I might lend him my amp to meter his subs down there Hah probably more of Team Db Drive's buddy.. Not mine. Thhats straight bull... He always told me sundown wasnt quality like AA and they were always on backorder. Thats why he's not a SA dealer anymore. For selling so much XD
  19. your best friend in the world kevin? Nooooooo.. Fuck him! He screwed me over when i ordered an sa-8. Im talking about aaron he's in san marcos
  20. Oscar is forsure. Maybe one of my friend's running an AA Mayhem. Should be a good meet
  21. Switching to a U.S. Steel supplier made production a bit slower some time ago. My sub took a month while this was happening. Maybe your subs will take around 15 days or so?
