Actually running them isobarically requires 1/4 the power and IIRC 1/2 the enclosure size to achieve the same output. Is not the idea being the iso to use the second driver for control to make a smaller enclosure work? I've never seen an instance where efficiency is increased, especially to the point where you need 1/4 the power. You've decreased enclosure size, and added a driver, so if anything, efficiency is increased and more power is needed.

And the same thing could have been accomplished with one driver versus two.

I'm still using the MT2500. Love it. I could use a bit more data, but they still support it, and I don't use it enough to warrant all the features of a new unit.

Those amps were made to reproduce perfect sound ... Sound Quality machines !!! Class A/B amps back then never was required to draw enough current to need such large cables ... Back then, they cared about what sounded the absolute best ... Actually they were all current hogs, but the connectors just simply were not available. I recall seeing competitors in the early 90s with multiple runs of 4ga to the batts. They sure did seem to sound better though. I think its just nostalgia. I miss the pure gain blocks and big heat sinks.

You're making this difficult. Put ring terminals on the ends, bolt them together, then wrap in spicing tape followed by electrical tape and you're good to go, or you could forgo the terminals and just use a split bolt.
