Interesting news. I poured a ton of time and energy into helping him grow Mach5, we made nothing on the product and I mean ZERO. He was a good guy, but as soon as he thought it was a good idea to team up with Sound Digital (who have a hard on for Stetsom), then tells me Mach5 is getting out of the industry and to take down the section. Only to see a couple months later, there is a section up on CrapCo..... now he is done with it? After Stereo Integrity and Mach5 pulled that, I am no longer helping another brand because there is ZERO loyalty or gratitude in this stupid bullshit dance. Sorry to hear that you guys got the short end of the stick there. Unfortunately people have become increasingly ungrateful for people giving them some help or a fair shot. I know I have been guilty of that before myself. J It's ok. Mark warned me. It was my morals and good nature that has continued to get in the way of our business growth. Compromise your morals for money and see if you can look your kid in the eye or yourself in the mirror. At the end of the day, yes it is a business and must be ran as such, but you cannot violate your own ethics for profit. J You mean like Skar? That would imply there were morals present to begin with.

I'm sorry, there should have been a question mark at the end of my question. It was not meant to be a statement. In speaking with him, I gathered he wanted to distance himself from the other manufacturers here and broaden his customer base to a "cheaper" clientel. He was all about the budget minded from the get go and wanted to be known as simply that. What I see with the company now leads me to believe he has sold all rights and is no longer involved or has gone bonkers and is engineering and machining things himself. I thought he was going to go real world with the brewing instead of audio?

odd resistance
Always measure at the coil since the wire and it's connection will add resistance. Shouldn't be much, but there are instances where a connection can be an issue.

installed the audiocontrol epicenter
Apparently, the bigger the cock, the bigger the cock. . . And the smaller the brain.

wtf? dc power
Pretty sure it's not monetary. There have been some very public and very very badly handled deals on here made public with DC. They showed a negative side time and time again, with a new excuse. They tried to delete things and cover it up and it left a bad taste in many members' mouths. They left the forum because the mod staff did not allow them to cover shit up. They may have the best product, but to some, the way they have done some business has cost them some business.

As if I don't know the answer to that.

Why not just build one large enclosure out of FG? Cosmetic reasons only. I will probably connect the two "tube" enclosures with the one for the horn. You can cosmetically construct them any way you want, or do you not have time for that much detailed work?

I was afraid to scroll down and see the price.

Funny too because the steak should be conductive.

What about those cheap small stainless trash cans? Brace the inside with wood. Build your baffles and glass and you're good to go. The issue with sonotube is both sides are waxed and you have to get through that before painting or glassing. Actually they weather quite well as long as you seal the edges. They can sit outside at jobsites for quite some time before being affected.. Stainless would be sweet. Have you seen some for sale somewhere? Big Lots, etc. . .

Are you talking about me again? No, you're just the lazy bastard who won't stay up all night answering emails and PMs.

I've got a Skil circular, router and jigsaw already. I know this is such a horribly newb question, but this is the first time I have had to buy blades (always just used what was at my father's shop or friend's shops). How much should a good 7 1/4" blade run me, and whats the best style of blade? Thanks for all the help guys. This is really helping me make intelligent decisions. J I use Freud Avanti blades for MDF, Diablo for plywood. The Avanti has lifetime warranty, and when I was building cabinets, I'd be cutting about 6 hours a day and I'd have to send the blade in every 8 months for sharpening. So if you only make an enclosure once a month, you'll probably never have to buy another blade assuming you cut properly and don't burn it up.

My $1500 saw took a shit many years ago. My brother bought me a Skil brand circular saw, I purchased some good Frued Avanti blades and I've never looked back. I does all I need. If I need a miter or odd angle, I'll use my router.

I want to have this come at my job....
I can't say I love it, but I enjoy the humor and the gesture no less. Some people are just assholes about everything. If he wandered into my business, I would let him stay until he could no longer play.
