  1. Champagne showers.
  2. And I want a FUCKING BEER!
  3. Hopefully the weather stays nice.
  4. I have 5 days to get the engine out of my truck, run to the yard and pull one, install it in the truck, get it running, then go get my nephew's car running. All the while I have to juggle four of those days with the boy. I'm going to be very sick next week.
  5. I don't know WTF is going on lately, but I'm seeing a lot of HOT red heads. We have one at work for Christmas time and she's got a smoking hot bod, but she just looks stuck up. I'm debating on attempting to stick her up even more, but damn I hate fucking with bitches at work. The only plus is, she's temporary.
  6. Jon, I hope you are okay. I've had a cancer scare many times and it sucks.
  7. I've been out of HS for 14 years and haven't worked out since then, and the past couple years have been pretty sedentary aside from the walking I do at work and fuck sessions and I am just now gaining weight, but it mostly has to do with my disease. I was always around 3% body fat and my doctors always told me I should be dead with such a low percentage for my weight, but yeah. I'm just now getting up to 5% and I gained 15 lbs. over the past year, then lost 10 and now have some excess skin around my waist. I am always cold, and no matter what I eat, I don't gain anything. It's nice, but it also sucks too.
  8. That's the beauty of the electronics. It's almost infinitely adjustable.
  9. And Brad beat me to it.
  10. What other methods are there to "pad"? I am finishing up the design on a 3-way active and the midrange has been always "padded" by other builders that used the driver in for home audio. I am concerned that I will need to do the same. You pad by adjusting the gain or level on the processor. You can throw out what has been done for HT. It in no way relates to response characteristics in the automotive environment.
  11. Because the only people who would consider using them don't use them. They either switch drivers, application, or pad some other way. You would actually see them quite a bit in the early 90s.
  12. Give them a call; that's usually the quickest way to get an answer.
  13. I have you tried contacting RE; they're based in Cali.
  14. Stick your head in the footwell and see if the bass improves. If so, you do have a cancellation issue. The car and install are beautiful!
  15. WERD.
  16. It's the cap on the idle air control valve. It's a common problem on the 4Ls. It needs cleaned or replaced. All the Explorers in my family have done it as well as our old Aerostar.
  17. That sucks Jordan. Why can't they just remove the damn things now?
  18. I have a Buick.
  19. I bet this post gets moved as well. There are only two people on here who would. One can't and if the other one does, well. . . .
  20. Too much chrome on a black car looks tacky. My flat black + a little bit of chrome = good Tires look better now, got some tire sheen. You obviously did not read my post.
  21. For fuck's sake. Kevin, what is being asked is, what the fuck do you know about designing amplifiers? Are you just calling a manufacturer and their engineers design and build it, or do you have some knowledge and experience designing an electrical circuit. People are trying to feel you out and test you, can't you see that? Man up, state EXACTLY what you do or don't know, quit pussy footing around answers and just answer. . . . And you wonder why you get the reactions you do. BTW, this industry is small and many people know exactly how things work and who knows their shit, and who doesn't. Honesty is all that's needed. If you're a genius, tell people why, if you're an idiot, just state that. Pretty simple concepts to grasp.
  22. Chrome wheels are all that belong on black vehicles. Nothing looks better. You may choose to argue against this, but it's an exercise in futility and you are incorrect. There's just no way around it.
  23. Generally a flat response will translate into an exaggerated low end in-car to the point where it can be annoying and quite a narrow bandwidth. Of course some of use prefer a bandwidth of only 20-50Hz on subwoofers anyways.
  24. Peaks and impedance, but that's about it.
