  1. Why is he worried about what we think? I'm assuming you have the driver in an enclosure already, so why not pop it in there and see which one he prefers? That's the only way he's going to know which setup he prefers.
  2. In all reality though, there's no way to measure this and objectively say one is better than the other, especially given the limited information.
  3. More cone area and they will both be able to use the power more effectively.
  4. I've never figured out vents by hand. I've always used BassBox or some other program to get my mach under 18m/s and just build from there. Takes too much time to do the math and I've always had the software so why bother?
  5. May I ask what the purpose is? Most people want it for lighter weight and improved performance which means they won't have an audio system in their car, unlike what you see in the ricer movies and car club scene. Really though, the cost of CF is through the roof and to get good quality components will run you thousands of dollars and easily surpass the value of your car. Just think about why you want it and if you really need it before you waste your money.
  6. That's funny because they are larger in both interior space and hatch/trunk space than the SN95 Mustangs and that was my DD for 2 years.
  7. Oh to be young again and only worry about how large an enclosure I could fit in my car versus needing room for toys, groceries, and tools.
  8. Aaron, what say you? Are there no KFCs in Texas? A chicken box is a box of chicken. Not too hard to figure out. Go to KFC, tell them you want a chicken box. They'll ask you how many pieces and what kind.
  9. Oh, I had no problem with you closing it and stand behind it. I just thought it might prove a little beneficial, but you're probably correct since even in that thread, people did not read WHAT I typed, rather they read INTO what I typed.
  10. I think it's okay. It could give some perspective to some of our younger members. In fact, it's nice to see this young guy thinking about this versus just passing it over like most people.
  11. That's good. Any plans for the thief since you know who it was?
  12. Just copy their address and use the media tags instead of YouTubes embedding.
  13. I always liked the Camaro's myself.
  14. WTF was that thing eating?
  15. I fixed it for you.
  16. Glad your well! I miss your drunken late night phone calls reciting Fight Club lines!
  17. Adds unnecessary cost, weight, and complexity to a vehicle. Which just leads to the fact that the USA has completely went to shit in the automotive industry, our amaerican made cars are at the bottom of the list compared to foreign vehicles example ford and chevy...built for price and not quality Ford has always been light years ahead of GM in terms of quality. They continue to rank near or above their Japanese counterparts. GM was too big and stretched too thin to really put quality over quantity.
  18. Adds unnecessary cost, weight, and complexity to a vehicle. This is the only thing manufacturers care about, so the others are moot.
  19. I want to buy a Prius, remove the drivetrain, tube it, and throw in a blown, alcohol-injected BBF with a 14-71 sticking out of the hood. I'd love to see the faces of the tree-huggers!
  20. No, we just always seem to have some cycling discussion while in the IHOP.. Sorry to go OT Jake.
  21. Yeah, the current engine in the RX-8 is cancelled. But supposedly there is this 16x rotary they are working on. I read several years ago where they were working on a 2 or 3 rotor, but nothing ever came of it. I'd like to see a big 3L 2 rotor. And I don't give a damn about fuel consumption either. That would be interesting to see. The number one complaint about the Wankel was the fuel consumption though I don't see how people can complain about that. You have to wind that damn thing out to make power anyways so you know damn well you are going to be going through fuel like water. Oh well.

There was the 2.0 3B rotor from the last gen that never came to the USA. You mean the 20B 3 rotor? That's what they use in the Rolex cars. Those things are nuts. IIRC, they make damn near 500HP and weight next to nothing.
  23. And you never join in our cycling conversations in the IHOP? ? ? ?
  24. I thought he didn't want anyone to know? Is he doing okay?
