  1. The guy I work with loves Blose and he always sends me reviews on how they are the best ever. Funny shit.
  2. Yeah, the current engine in the RX-8 is cancelled. But supposedly there is this 16x rotary they are working on. I read several years ago where they were working on a 2 or 3 rotor, but nothing ever came of it. I'd like to see a big 3L 2 rotor. And I don't give a damn about fuel consumption either.
  3. I searched for "rotary cancelled," and "Wankel cancelled," and it brought up nothing. Aaron said the engine was being cancelled.
  4. WTF? Haven't looked, don't know, but fuck california I can't find anything on Google. Aaron must have some inside info.
  5. WTF?
  6. que? I need to landscape, grade, and move some heavy stuff around the yard. Rental company delivers. tempted... really tempted. Owning would be much more fun though. Especially some beat up older one. I would get romanian and landscape my yard daily. Also it would help with my insanely long driveway. I did just get a new snowblower, but you can never have too many toys. Yeah, I'd much rather use the skid, plus they're fun and easy to do wheelies in.
  7. Even the cars made by American manufactures are better over there. If Ford sold Falcons over here you'd think they would be somewhat popular. Looks like a sweet car. Amen!
  8. The Europeans get all the awesome cars. Thank goodness we're not still an British territory.
  9. UK gallons are larger than US gallons, that's the sole reason. We don't get super-duper good fuels. 1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 liters 1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liters UK gas also cost around twice the price as of what our gallon of gas cost, they give up car size and speed for gas milage more then we do. They are taxed very heavily on fuel, that's why it's so expensive. There was a Top Gear episode where Clarkson did a comparison and something like 75% of their fuel costs are taxes.
  10. They don't have the same emissions standards we do and they way they rate them is different. Higher octane has nothing to do with better gas mileage.
  11. Try it and see how you like it. Personally I think the 9500s are far better than the L7s for what I would use them for, but it all depends on the individual user. It appears you already have the 9500s, so why not just try the L7. Simple as that.
  12. Did you learn any bad words? We had a Bosnian guy working with us who spoke no English. After working with us for a couple months, the first words out of his mouth were, "fuck you."
  13. Watched that episode Sunday. Car is amazing, but I hate that CF hood. Interior isn't my favorite either. The film they put together was really cool, that had to be amazing driving around LA with completely open roads. Is the HP reduction they're claiming really true? I believe it to an extent, but I just don't believe it really changed the car the way he's trying to lead us to believe. I didn't like the hood either. I don't mind them on black or gray cars, but they really look better painted. I don't know how significant his power loss is, but my Mustang would suffer from heat soak after a few minutes and would easily lose 40 or more HP, so I imagine that car in that environment would lack a significant amount of power. There is a sensor After of the air filter but before the mass air meter called an ambient air temp sensor and it does just what it's title indicated. Add that in with the temp sensor and the computer will cut timing drastically and power will diminish.
  14. Apparently you don't comprehend my type. I've conveyed no bitterness nor hurt feelings, nor did I mention anything about respect. You are correct, my generation and the those following me know nothing about respect, work ethic, common sense, etc. . .
  15. Yup. It's hard to beat for the price. So many other things you can use it on.
  16. You're correct, but I just use my ear. It's far better than a multimeter. I would only use the meter if I had an O-scope as well, but then I really wouldn't need the meter. Your ear will do a better job telling you when the drivers are at their limit.
  17. The second one is the exact ones I bought. I don't know the true number of accuracy, but NEC standard for any meter that can measure AC is a standard of +/- 1%. Only a True RMS meter will be more accurate and that'll cost you $500 minimum.
  18. This thing is fucking sweet! http://www.streetfire.net/video/porsche-911-gt2-rs-top-gear-usa_2301750.htm
  19. Do you have a local Sears store? They have Craftsman meters that are anywhere from $10-$25 depending on whether or not they're on sale. I bought several of these years ago to stash one in each car. They work great. They are also made by a high quality brand name maker.
  20. Not bad for an ugly car. Hell I can take twins and build a 3.8 Buick or Ford and get the same results for about $30K including the car. It'll pull the front wheels too and look a hell of a lot better. And handle the way that thing does? It's an ugly car no question about that, but the way they've managed to get that car to drive is pretty impressive. No, I'd need another 10K for the handling thing. I forgot it actually goes around corners too.
  21. Oh my!
  22. Fixed That reminds me of Shrek all the time.
  23. u ever hear of " if u dont have nothing nice to say, you shouldnt say anything at all" i appoligize that my parents are in a finciale state to where they can lend me money without being stressed about it. they know im a hard worker and wont have any problem paying it back.... or else they wouldnt have lended it to me in the first place. now i got a question for you. whats was your dream set-up when you first started car audio? i mean when u FIRST got into it? for instance when i first got into it, i had 2 10" kicker comps and my dream system was to have 2 solo x's. not 4 15's. lol at the time i though that was a bit over kill No, however I have heard the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all" I've heard it a million times. It doesn't make any sense. I could delve further, but it's pointless.
  24. Look, I don't care what you say about me, or my parents or anyone else for that matter. So go ahead and do whatever you like. It won't hurt me. If you come on here and make any statement you are opening the door for whatever responses and opinions people deem appropriate or inappropriate. What you take from it is up to you.
  25. There was a need for the parent thing. You just can't see it. I am a parent and I see the issue. I went through the same issue as a child. I will say whatever I feel, mod or not. That makes no difference.
