The paint is hideous. Tinted chrome colors do not belong on a car, especially a Ferrari.
  2. MY all time favorite amps.
  3. I feel horrible today and have a corporate visit.
  4. It's Nick Lemmons and Jacob's collaboration.
  5. That's no lie. Comcast customer service is bullshit. It took them 9 months to cancel my cable, but the guy came out and disconnected it two days after I called. I will never deal with those idiots ever again.
  6. Happy Berfday Neil!
  7. I miss beer so much.
  8. I love Rage Gold. I have used it for quite some time. You can also skip a final sand and use a good filler primer like Slick Sand from ever coat. Another trick is to take equal parts filler and resin, mix thoroughly, add your MEKP, then you can brush on the filler and it will self level. You can also pour it on as well, but this may cause air bubbles. Ill be ordering some rage gold and slick sand then. Have you used the us composites resin before? If so was it the general purpose or 435(sp?) Ill try the resin and filler mix later today. Have to change my front dirtbike tire first, so fun. I just get whatever is cheapest. All you need is a generic polyester resin. Just be careful if you let it cure before adding another layer. Many have styrene which wicks up to the surface as they cure and needs to be sanded off before laminating another layer. This is why your polyester resin feels waxy. You can use epoxy resin as it has no smell, but it's more expensive. It is more stable though and UV resistant, so if you are using it for something that will see weather, I would use it there. For the kicks, just use the cheapest polyester you can find.
  9. This is possibly the dumbest thread in history. Take this shit to PM.

  11. Why no mat ? It's simple to add and it's what provides the strength. I've always used mat, just wasn't sure why I was finding all these videos of people using mat on door panels but not kick panels, made no sense, thought I'd ask. The fabric was a bitch, tons of wrinkles, but enough fiberglass mat toned it down, sanded like hell, and used slightly more bondo then normal. Still has a lot of inperfections but I'm going to layer the inside with clay tomorrow and install. If it sounds good I'll be taking them back out for more sanding. Probably add some more resin in the inside in case I missed anywhere, like the white wrinkled spot If you had wrinkles, you didn't have the fabric stretched tight enough. There is a key to body filler. You want to sand the high spots off during the "green" stage. This is the stage right where it starts to harden up. Get yourself a body rasp or some 36 grit sandpaper or the like and go to town when it's in this stage and you'll cut your sanding time in half. I can give you a ton of tips, I grew up in a body shop.
  12. Keystone is nothing more than stale water.
  13. It should have a 90day to one year warranty. Take it back. When you turn the ignition, there are some rods that move which allow you to move the shift lever. These could be the culprit also. It's a safety feature so you can't shift the vehicle without the keys and the ignition on.
  14. Yes, by idiots. Thanks for the insult you bastard.
  15. I've done it before, just make sure you use a heavy fabric and it it fully saturated. You'll also want to use a fiber-reinforced filler like Dura-glass or Kitty hair.
  16. Duran has it here. They all often make "deals" with one another. At one time, GM, Chrysler, Ford, and Toyota had a joint venture on a "surfboard" car. This is basically a standard chassis that can accept multiple bodies and can be changed at anytime. Chrysler was doing the design, GM was providing the transmission while working on the chassis and driveline with Ford, Toyota supplied the engine, and Ford was in charge of the software.
  17. When I was stationed in England, I had a 87 Ford Escort GT ... Awesome Sporty ride ... Not so easy getting use to the sterring wheel on the right side ... kinda quick for a 4 banger ... Funny, since I was just reading about the Chrysler 2.2 turbo... http://www.allpar.com/mopar/22t.html Yes, it's Chrysler but still, very good performance for that age. But it wasn't actually a Chrysler engine. It was a Mitsubishi. Ford's 4 cylinder Duratec engines are Mazdas, the GM Duramax Diesel is an Isuzu, etc. . . Didn't they use the complete 4g63 from Mitsubishi (2.0) and develop the 2.2 turbo from their own block ? And as far as I could read in the article they worked with Lotus on the third version of the 2.2 turbo. I used to work for a guy who built these engines in the factory. He had a ton of them at the shop I worked at and really knows them well. HE stated, Mitsu prototyped, Chrysler engineers approved, then Chrysler built the engine. It's actually pretty common place for manufacturers to do these types of things. Have you ever noticed that when the Toyota Tundra finally got as big as the Big 3 American trucks Ford finally broke into the field with hybrid technology? The Tundra's chassis is a reworking of the F-150s, and the Ford Hybrid system is a modified Toyota first gen system.
  18. HAPPY BERFDAy!
  19. I figured that was a given, but given the outlandish price of new vehicles, I find it okay to be a cheap buyer in the automotive world.
  20. Well that just fucking sucks.
  21. You can thank lawyers and the NHTSB for that.

  23. Funny because their car lot is full of overpriced cars and they don't negotiate nice. Never had to deal with sales, just parts and they've been awesome to the Mustang/Taurus/T-bird/Explorer communities I've been on.
  24. With the cable disconnected, get under there and try to remove the linkage by hand. Tell If you can't move it by hand, there is a problem with the transmission. There is also a lock in the ignition which could also be causing the issue. How did you get a new cab;e with no warranty? If it's bad from the get go, take it back, get a new one.
  25. If you don't use them often (as in homework for classes) it's hard to memorize them. I can't remember 90% of the stuff I used in high-school. Same here and I was always told I would need the algebra and trig for the electrical field. Being an engineer sure, but your everyday electrician has no need to know all that shit.
