Speaker break-in... myth?
Actually the engine thing is a little too convenient as well. The rings should be fully seated after several hundred miles. Hell, on most street engines, it only takes a few heat cycles.

Saving an SHO by Winding Road
I've been following this for a while now. I had the chance to buy one last year from one of my brother's co-workers. It was a mint 89 with less than 50K for $2000, but I had just received all my medical bills and had no money left over. Oh well. . . I'lll be surprised if he even gets his $800 back. I wouldn't attempt to sell it to an enthusiast as he is hoping. They know the cars well and know their true value more than anyone and well, it is still just a Taurus after all.

Compression terminals -- Thoughts?
Sweet. I'm planning on using them with some 0 gauge welding cable....Should be a good match up I figure. Is there a possibility of them vibrating loose? Not if you use them properly. The compression will hold them together. You'll feel resistance when tightening them. Just be careful not to overtighten as those are cast copper and you'll strip it fairly easy and then it won't tighten or loosen and you'll end up having to cut them off.

Welcome to the IHoP
My old laptop was a Gateway and it lasted 9 years. It was a $3K laptop when new. I had lots of small issues for the last year, so I decided to get a new one and got a NV5468 at the Shack for $385. I love it. Super light, quiet, fast, and never gets hot. My old one was a P4 and ran hot as hell all the time, the fans never shut off and it would suck the battery dry in an hour. With this one, I can let it go for almost 8 hours before I have to plug it in.

Compression terminals -- Thoughts?
Very effective when used properly. Probably the best connection conductively, but can also be a pain to get right. I still have some old Tiff compression connectors from many years ago. The best thing is, you can use them over and over again.

I was out weeding my flower bed last weekend for almost an hour, and my back was toast. My arms are the only part on me that ever tan, of course they're the only thing ever exposed, but that's a given being I'm the whitest man on Earth.

I haven't been to the gym or worked out in over 10 years. I'm still skinny as a match stick, and still have definition on every muscle. My 6 pack is only visible when stretching though. That's what I need to work on.

Why are you still dicking around with that? That thing is a lemon.

Fuck, nevermind, I won't be old enough. Okay, I'm the next president after Obama's second marketing ploy, I mean term.

Don't we have a rule about politics on the Ihop? I'm banning you assholes next time the subject arises. And don't argue with me either, I am the next president.

Car's that make you want to buy a poster like you used to as a kid
The Reventon is inexplicably ugly, but yet so sexy at the same time. It's like the Countach when it came out. You'd look at it and think, "WTF," but at the same time, it was so breath-taking, you couldn't take your eyes off it.

It looks like a Supra with Down Syndrome.

Wow! While the car is a bit too "ricey" for me, props to you guys for building the car YOU want, not what everyone else thinks is cool. That's what hot rodding is all about.

I love my nephew, but damn, are he and his friends stupid. I often wonder if I was as dumb and annoying as a teen.

What OS are you running? My new Gateway still recognizes my memory card from my camera in it even if I've removed it without manually stopping the hardware. It reverts back to normal after a restart of shut down. Apparently this is an issue with Windows 7 as it retains a memory if it goes into hibernation such as when you close the lid.

Yep, Japanese cars make my stomach turn. Complete waste. You should find a Mazda Speed3 or even better a Speed6 (no longer in production) to drive. They're both 1/3 Ford, 1/3 Mazda, and 1/3 Volvo. Not your typical boring Japanese automobile, and as always, the Rx-7s are a blast as well.

I wouldn't use paint unless you use something with an aciviator to cure. Thatspot looks like it right in line with a knee which could end up resting on it, and before you know it, the paint is worn. I'd do the vinyl, but that's me.

My 500HP V6
Love it!! You mentioned Duttwieler in the Ihop or RTMS and your work with him. I remember him from the early Mustang/GN wars of the early 90s. He made a good amount of power with both platforms. He's currently building modulars for Granatelli Motorsports. That guy really knows his shit. Are you launching off a brake or footing it?

My buddy had a Kenne Bell on his GT and it would rape my car out of the hole. It would also blow the tires off with no issue. My Vortech was much better suited for a street ride, produced more boost as the revs increase. Trust me, it may be fun to get instantly thrown back in your seat, but for someone like you who will never go to the track, a simply centifrugal and gears will do wonders and keep your tires in check. Of course, you can always just add cubes. . .
