  1. I'm sick of bathing in my kitchen sink too.
  2. So sick of doing this bathroom. Got the ceiling torn down today, rough plumbing done for the toilet and vanity, floor completed around the toilet rough-in, and all the cleaned wood primed and sealed. Hopefully I can get the tub in tomorrow and rough it in. Just one problem. . . . Space in between studs is 59". Tub is 60.75"W. Anyone know an easy way to shave two bys?
  3. Happy Berfday Ryan!!!
  4. Got my floor almost completely in in the bathroom. All I have left to do is the rough plumbing for the tub and vanity and I can get crackin on the drywall.
  5. Funny you mention that, my car just threw a code for running too rich. I've never seen that before. It's acting like it has a huge vacuum leak. Funny thing is, I don't know what is going on. Fuel pressure is stable, and the tune is good.
  6. http://www.idealindustries.com/products/wire_installation/accessories/noalox.jsp Should be able to find this at Lowes or if you have a Grainger store local, they'll definitely have it. Apply liberally. Any other dielectric grease will work. I've just used this stuff forever and continue to do so. I just use whatever type is on sale. Not a whole lot of difference between them or so I thought anyways. I don't really know. All I know is when I was at my old job building shit for GE, they were very specific that we use the Ideal stuff. They actually brought us in some samples of grounding pads with different dielectric compounds and the Ideal was the only one that stood up to their specs. I don't know the specifics behind the test, but I can tell you that once we started using this, we alleviated any grounding issues in our previous buildings. In fact, I have grounds on my father's car from 12 years ago that still have the grease on them.
  7. how is the ladies finger... It's fine. She's a puss. Funny thing is, mine got smashed yesterday (same finger, but on the middle knuckle) removing the tub.

  9. I'm beat. One day of planned demo has turned into 4 days. Shit.
  10. Cast iron tub FTL. That was a bitch to remove.
  11. What's the point in going that low for music? You can't hear it. I can see using it for HT where feeling is every bit as important as hearing, but it's pointless in a vehicle.
  12. If I had $10K lying around, I'd do it. That car has got to haul ass.
  13. Happy Berfday big man!
  14. Poor OK.
  15. So today we commenced on our bathroom remodel. The bitch was to do all the demo, and I'd do everything else. I removed all the fixtures and showed here exactly what needed to be done. 2 hours later I hear screams. I go up there and she's holding her hand, so I immediately knew what was wrong. Well, turns out she wanted to Rambo some shit, and swing the crow bar like a baseball bat, albeit with one hand, and managed to smash her index finger which she conveniently placed in the blow zone of the bar. Yeah. So, her finger is fucked, she managed to remove about 15 sq.ft. of drywall and guess who has to do everything now. . . .
  16. No, I just hate for the guy to think he really knows what he's talking about, then he'll actually end up believing it. Then he'll tell everyone what he knows, and well. . . Wait, that's the whole premise of the thread.
  17. I'll give ya a hint, all transformers function the same. There is no "special" transformer that can magically do things others can't. There is nothing special about this transformer, no matter what you read and think you understand about it. It's a simple step-up transformer, nothing more.
  18. Dammit. I am so ready to get a DD with trunk space, and power windows and locks.
  19. All of our printers/copiers/fax machines at work are HP. We have all the service manuals for these things, but it's a joke. For one problem, there are 50 possible solutions and none are concrete. If you call HP support, only half of the people actually know anything about the machines. Even the techs that come out to repair them can't fix them. We ship them back to get refurbed and they come back DOA, ALL THE TIME.
  20. If you plan on driving a car that will use 3000amps in any situation, you are stupid.

I want a poster of this, preferably with less clothing and a phone number included.
  22. I wouldn't personally make cabinets for my garage unless I had a lot of free time. I'd just venture down to a habitat for humanity place and buy some nice donated cabinets.
  23. It was expected. She's been puffing smoke since the end of last season. Every time I start it, I have to clean the plug and add half a quart of oil. It was under a particularly heavy load today as I haven't been able to cut the grass for a couple weeks due to heavy rains nearly every day, so the grass was a good 4-5" and still wet even though it hasn't rained all week. It would only smoke on startup and engagement, but today she was smoking the whole time. I actually had to stop twice and and add oil just to complete the yard, then as I was pulling it in the garage, poof. I can't really complain, it was free and $4-500 for a new engine isn't bad for something that will last another 14 years.
  24. I blewed up me Simplicity tonight. Not good heading into fall with two huge Maples in the front yard.
