  1. Line-Locs make burnouts FUN!
  2. I have the same alt sitting on a shelf in my basement, although it's only 200 amp.
  3. I'd look at shifter cart suppliers.
  4. I'm in South Bend, so I'm not too far away, but far enough. This car actually came from a dealer in Chicago, Mt. Prospect to be exact. The guy traded this and a New Beetle in on a brand new Beetle for his wife. I stole this car from them; they had no idea of it's value (in a decent economy that is).
  5. I did my homework on the car. It has under 28K and all the mods were installed by a well-known shop, so I know it's done right. I was able to speak to the previous owner and get some more information from him than the dealership had. As for the bumpers, the only one with different front bumpers was the '03-'04 Cobra. All Cobras also have the word "Cobra embossed in the rear bumper as well, except for the '99s. Mods on car when purchased: Vortech V2 SQ kit, pullied for 10lbs. Vortech Air to water Aftercooler. Full fuel system. Custom tune, dyno sheet read 404HP at 5800, and 398 lb.ft. at 3700. Eibach sportlines. Tokico Illuminas. MM caster/Camber plates. MM rear LCAs. MM rear swaybar. FRPP aluminum driveshaft. 4:10 ring and pinion. Rear end girdle. Driveshaft loop. Longer rear studs. Line-loc, which I discovered after I bought one. Roush Shifter. Brembo Cobra R front brake kit. Bassani catted X-pipe. Magnaflow Catback. Konig rims, one of 2 17" wheels that actually clear the Brembos. Alpine CDA-9856 Stupid ass billet interior pieces. Stupid ass carbon fiber interior trim overlay. Stupid ass EL guage overlay. Stupid ass carbon fiber "Euro" tail lights. Autometer Boost and FP guages. Changes made 4/17/09: Removed exhaust and added MAC prochamber and 2 chamber Flowmaster catback. Removed hood stripes, pony door stickers and pony 1/4 window stickers. Future plans: Install Saleen wheels sitting in my garage. Install Saleen body kit, ordered last week. Change shifter. Replace tail lights with stock pieces. Replace front headlights with stock tinted lights. Steeda 13" rear brake upgrade. Forged shortblock. TFS heads and intake. Finally up the boost and get a tune for around 550-600RWHP.
  6. No, they are all rated at 250V.
  7. Looks like a Vortech Supercharger. I don't think any self respecting mustang owner would put a turbo on a V8. Overall, I like the understated look of it. Minimal exterior mods, but thought out (brakes and what not). I would kill to have a turbo or two. The car is far from stock, but most of it is not visible. As it sits, it's mid-high 11 second car traction permitting.
  8. Belt driven supercharger. Neither do I. Surprisingly, there were even more on there that I've removed, but ran out of time to get the bottom ones. It's one of many changes that will be made over the next year. Several months from now, the car will look nothing like it does now. Ryan, haven't gotten the filter out yet, it will probably happen Friday as I have the day off.
  9. Please excuse the filth; haven't had time to detail it yet.
  10. Anything other than pine?
  11. Wrong! IMO, they get nothingn until they give something. We all do, so it's time they do.
  12. How about Spectrum over the clay or butyl ? That should stiffen a bit.... You can never be too stiff.
  13. You've obviously never ridden in an Eaton'd 3.8 MN12. They are nasty down low. Run out of steam pretty quickly though. never have but the srt6 weighs less has way more HP and only about 20ft lbs less torque (curves not taken into account) so i can't imagine how they'd even come close on the highway. HP and torque are nothing but numbers by themselves. They tell you nothing without factoring in the gear ratios of the tranny/rearend, shift points, stall speeds, etc. . . My old Cobra has less HP and torque than an LS1 F-body and was heavier, but I would kill them out of the hole. Top end was another story, and that's where the powerband is on the 4.6 4V. While i get what you're trying to say, are you willing to stand behind the statement that you think the thunderbird had a chance in the mentioned race? I never said the T-bird had a chance in the race. I was simply stating they get going very well which is why he was able to hang with him at all.
  14. Shit, it's almost midnight.
  15. 68 and sunny on Friday, and 69 and sunny on Saturday! 'Bout damn time!
  16. If I can find some wheels, I might get some slicks and go to T&T on Friday night.
  17. One more day until I can play. I'll have pics up on Friday.

  19. It's a coarse thread machine screw. #10 screw, 24 threads per inch. More common is the 10-32 which is fine thread. It's just like any other screw/bolt. You have the size, then thread pitch. Most 1/4" bolts are 1/4-20, 5/16s are 5/16-18, 3/8-16, 1/2-13, you get the picture.

  21. It's just a solenoid that goes in-line between the MC and front brakes and it does just as you've stated. You can either use a toggle switch or a momentary button. On my car, it's a switch, so he must've just put it on there for burnouts. Funny thing is, that's exactly what I bought one for. The pump I was referring to was for my Aftercooler for my Vortech. It's basically and air to water intercooler, but Vortech calls them Aftercoolers. This is what I'm talking about. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=19
  22. No, that's a Cobra R brake kit.
  23. The front wheels, unless you have a FWD.
  24. Which Brembo's? These.
