  2. Already had a buyer. He's been bugging me to sell it to him for years. He got a freaking steal too.
  3. If you're going to use the JL, then you will have to run new wire to the new speakers. The only way you'll know what you have to do to mount them is to remove the door panel and old drivers and see if the Pios will mount in place. If not, then you'll have to come up with a way to make them work by modifying the current mount, or making a new one all-together. As for the passive/active, the passive will of course require running the speaker cable from the amp to the crossover and then from the crossover to the speakers. Running active would remove the crossover and run cable directly to the speakers and tune with the HU and/or built-in crossovers on the amp.
  4. Cobra is sold!
  5. Yes, but the majority of people don't know the difference. Don't sell your BPX, you will regret it. Still heading in the Fusion direction? Either a new Fusion or an 05GT. I'm leaning towards the Fusion for obvious reasons, but I still want a Mustang. I figure with traction control and them being bigger than mine, I may be able to squeeze it.

  7. JBL BPX2200.1
  8. all of it? like a certain crown amp that would be totally pimp in the mini?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee That might be the one thing I keep. I have to decide between that and the A7.
  9. I don't know which one it was, so, yeah. I will be selling the Specialty Series Sony I have.
  10. Well, I'm gonna take the plunge. The Cobra is going up for sale along with all of my audio collection.
  11. ??
  12. Fuck, I need a new vehicle and can't seem to be able to part with the Cobra. WTF???!!!
  13. Rebuild the carb and go from there. The unfortunate thing is, it is a boat and the emissions systems were so poor on the early engines that they hindered performance and economy so badly, they are almost not even worth bothering with. Aside from doing a swap or some serious updates, the only thing that is going to help you is throttle control and that carb.
  14. How do you know it's running rich?
  15. Crock of shit. He says the car has over 400 HP and does 0-60 in 3 seconds. Not possible with that little power unless he's geared extremely low (which would not help him in search for mileage) and that bitch was put on a 1500lb diet. The fox bodies aren't heavy by any means, but they still tip the scale over 3000lbs. He's got to have some super heads on it as well.
  16. http://www.qualitypowerauto.com/ Dealt with these guys a lot when I was building alts.
  17. I've done the Taurus, so no more for me. I was half joking. But it seems like maybe a Fusion fresh off a lease might be the best thing with your goals. I cannot find a used one that has everything I want, and they're all around $18-19, so I figured I might as well use my Z-plan discount and get a new one for only $3K more. That way I get exactly what I want.
  18. Not enough room, and frankly, smaller than I would be secure with putting my son in.

  20. Nice run J!
  21. Ben is a good salesman and nothing more. If you ever have an in depth conversation with him, you'll realize that everything he knows about drivers is what he is told by a designer or the buildhouse. An older CBFryman if you will. The problem for him, is this online community is so tight-knit, that everyone knows everyone, and that means everyone else knows all his bullshit. The difference is, the rest of the guys are pretty stand up. Now, we all know that their shallow drivers were originally proto-typed by TB and then Ben took this driver to a cheaper Chinese build house for them to copy, and claimed it for his own design. Everyone in the industry knows this, but you don't see those guys talking about it. It's all about class. Had that been the other way around, things would be quite different. I do feel sorry for the guy though as karma is a bitch.
  22. You can take over for me if it's alright with Aaron. I don't have the time I once had to peruse the forums anymore, so it would probably be more beneficial.
  23. Going to look at it next weekend. Hopefully, they'll still have it. Had seriously considered this as well, but they have horrible re-sale. Right now, it's between used Mark VIIIs and a new Fusion or CX-7.
