  1. So I'm contemplating selling the Cobra to build something. This would be the something. http://www.factoryfive.com/rdsterhome.html
  2. I like them both but I've been addicted to vegas 2 for a while now. I'd suggest checking it out. Gran Turismo Prologue is out and I have been really anxious to play that! The GT games are regoddamndiculously good. Do they atleast have turbo/SC whine now? Turbo's don't really whine, ironically enough they actually lower your exhaust dB level. They do have the blow off valve sound and on the bigger turbos (commonly found on camaro's, drag cars and supras) you can actually hear a sucking noise. I wonder if I can find a video for you of how bad it would sound if you had to listen to the SC whine all day long. http://youtube.com/watch?v=OzTyLbJ7WHY and on another note I'm glad they don't change the sound when you put in a sequential transmission or it would sound a little like and just for equality here is a turbo in an ls1 powered camaro. http://youtube.com/watch?v=_THl2lyfuaI Actually turbos do produce a whining sound when spun fast enough. Just like blowing pressurized air over a small fan and when the blades move fast enough they create the whizzing sound. Both my T-birds, and Cougar whined with no BOV. Superchargers and blowers are ridiculously loud in comparison though, although one's with helical gears aren't as bad.
  3. How much control/processing are you looking for?
  4. He's asking why you posted that information in this thread when the title is, " Work... what ya do and for who?, We all hate it but it takes care of the bills."
  5. Maintenance Technician; Sears Holdings. I fix everything.
  6. Kent. the Harley instance was used to prove a point. While the majority of the V-twin guys are responsible, there are other who abuse their "noise," and they are the ones who put the stereotype on the Harley guys. I do find it funny though how every time I come across a Harley at a light, they have to sit there and rev the bike. I just don't get that. And some of them are just downright nasty when they come screaming by you with the windows down. I've had my ears popped a couple times.
  7. i wish every state had that law, would cut down on traffic congestion big time as well as traffic accidents. anyway, i welcome the law however the impounding is a little extreme but ticket the f***ers to the hill till thier wallet teaches them to respect others NY has the cell phone laws too, as well as text messaging fines as well. (working on that part atleast) That should be a nationwide law.
  8. I can't take it anymore.
  9. This is a great discussion so far. I've been guilty of this in my teenage years, and it annoys me now. I don't mind people cruising by and bumping, but when they're sitting at a damn stoplight, your brain just has to function sometime here.
  10. G@dd@m Skippy buddy !!! people think what im doing is bothering them ??? let me pull my pants down in front of your lil girl & wife wile your eating dinner somewhere !!! theres NO LAW says i cant... and they cant even wright me a ticket... yall pissme@ff with that TURN IT DOWN CR@PP /// bunch of misguided p@nzzies... i bother you /// but Sagging pants & cigreet somkers DO NOT ??? AMAZING It's called indecent exposure and you can be ticketed or arrested for it, so yeah. . . And your "eye for an eye" mindset is so off base, but I understand where you are coming from with this. You are just going about it improperly.
  11. I have sat and listened to the Shaker 1000 and can hear nothing around me unless the windows were down. In fact, both of mine with the stock Mach460 cranked will drown out sirens unless they're a couple vehicles away, so I will have to disagree with you here. In respects to auto makers and audio system safety, Scott, really, they just want the money. If safety was their intent, we would still be in the single 6x9 AM/FM tuner only days with 5 watts of power, and it would automatically mute when emeregency vehicles were nearby. Automakers won't do anything they don't have to, and there is no government crash test that involves stereo volume that they have to comply with, so they won't even think about it.
  12. 250 was enough for me, but you'll be surprised how little power you need on them. Follow ///M5's direction.
  13. Personally, I think it's bullshit. Yes, we should all listen to our music responsibly, but this is over the edge. It's just another way to control the people, and it's prejudice. I can't tell you how many times I've been pulled over for my exhaust being too loud, but you never see a cop pulling a Harley over for this. You can bet they'll impound your car for loud music, but they won't impound the loud-ass V-twin next to them making twice the noise. They won't impound a vehicle with no muffler for excessive noise either. It's just more bureaucratic bullshit.
  14. I know it's late, but you stopped by, so. . . Happy Berfday!
  15. NICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How's married life??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  16. No bass in the house FTL! Bass is overrated, midbass however isn't. I don't know anymore. . . I used to agree with this statement, but I just finished my install, sans sub, and I'm not liking the nothing below 50Hz.
  17. I hate allergies!
  18. Need sleep.

I'm late on this, but we felt it here in South Bend. That's amazing to me that it would reach this far. Mother Nature is a true beast.

Reports go to Mods and admins. If you have a problem with a moderator, it's best to take it up with Administration, which would be Denim, or SSaudio. You can also email them.
  21. You are lucky then. As for mistaking noise for power, well, I'll be nice and leave that alone.
  22. SO last Thursday I started a simple build on the V6. I had just planned to throw a couple amps in there and replace the door speakers with mli65s, and through my Neo3s in there as well. Next thing I know, it's Sunday, I have a pretty intricate and stealth amp rack deal going, and three layers of deadening and a layer of ensolite as well. I can never keep anything simple. Four straight days of installation really takes the fun out of things.
  23. Magnaflow blows ass and sounds like shit in my experience. I bought one of their kits when they first came out and fitment was horrible. It sounded like pure trash as well. As soon as I got it on, I took it off and went and bought a Flowmaster kit. There's a reason so many people use them. . . Here's my car with and off-road H-pipe and 40 series, non deltas. Listen closely and you can hear my fuel pump whining. http://www.teamssaudio.com/video/play.php?vid=133 I know this is old, but John, your car will sound exactly the same as any 4.6 or 5.0 for that matter, so if you're looking for clips, http://www.mustangexhaust.com/
  24. Anyone seen Kent lately? We had a quake in the Midwest yesterday and it was centered in Southern Illinois. We got shaken all the way up here, so I'd hate to see what Kent got.
  25. No shit?!
