  1. Good for you! On a side note, My NY strip is fantastic! And the garlic potatoes, and Blue Moon. What shall I make for dessert?
  2. I wouldn't call them mechanics if I heard some shit like that. If they even had a clue how an alternator works, you would have never posted this question. Seriously, do not EVER take your vehicle there again!
  3. Off to grill for the first time this year.
  4. Sorry J, I would kill to even have the money to make the down payment. Baby shit is expensive!
  5. I'm not even going to bother commenting on that.
  6. ASSHOLE! How do you go from broke and no job to driving MY car?!!! Teach me!! Nice choice! I was just at the dealership Saturday looking at the new M3. I didn't like them in the photos I saw, but that thing is just sex in person. ONe of the salesmen even came out and started it up for me. 8K sounds fantastic! I love the sound of the high-revving, smaller displacement engines. Reminds me of the Formula 1 cars.
  7. Your name has to be Jim or Chad to listen to a proto.
  8. No religion talk in the Ihop!
  9. Shit, four items on Ebay and I believe only one is going to sell.
  10. Also in order to get a verified measurement, you have to have a TRUE RMS clampmeter, as well as a resistive (IIRC) load on the amp. Sean, correct me if I'm wrong on load type.
  11. That's good to know, but your input voltage on the AC side is the problem here obviously. The AC input (signal from your RCAs) is what is being amplified. Your gain should ultimately be matched to this signal for optimal performance and to extarct the most power out of the amp without clipping.
  12. What frequency is the amp measured at from the factory? That's going to be your biggest issue I feel. Most amps are rated at 1KHz, but being this is a class D amp, I have no idea what it's tested at. That, and I'd bet your preout voltage is nowhere near 2 volts, and if it is, it also is probably at that 1KHz rating.
  13. What do you mean by reset? There are no electronics onboard that would require any type of resetting feature. Do you mean gain setting?
  14. Not a fan of the red, but it appears to be very well constructed. Let us know how it sounds.
  15. Bad timing again on GM's part. With gas prices constantly rising (and all other products) and the economy failing, the Camaro is doomed yet again. I don't understand these damn US car manufacturers. Gas prices going up and up, oil reserves going down and down, emissions levels are sky high, and yet they just keep producing bigger, heavier, gas guzzling cars. Even the Germans and Japanese are getting bad. Hell in the early to mid 90s, Accords and Civics were normally getting mileage in the mid 30s, now you need to buy a hybrid to get that mileage. Fucking oil companies rule the earth. These car manufacturers can easily make more efficient internal combustion engines and easily implement new fuels, but with the oil companies in control, they just refuse to let go. And I have yet to see any countries taking a hack at China. These people are about nothing but pollution and making as much money as possible. They have become the NEW U.S. They only thing they lack is the, "Bigger is Better," mentality.
  16. Why not try venting the JLs first? You already have them and if you have enough room for an 18 vented, you'll have enough room for 3 10s vented. Look at it this way; if you don't like the JLs vented, you're only out $20 and a couple hours to build an enclosure versus the money for a new amp or driver/enclosure combo.
  17. X eleventybillion Fucking 14*C and cloudy weather...where the efff is summer ? In Melbourne. Just got done watching the first F1 race of the year. I love this time of year. Formula 1, NHRA, baseball, and NCAA basketball tourney all at once.
  18. Don't worry about it. If it looks like the newest ones, I know exactly what it is. I need a big multi-channel amp and this might fit the bill perfectly. I just have to wait on all my Ebay items to sell, although not one has hit its reserve yet.
  19. As has been mentioned, a lumberyard is your best bet. I have a shop here that caters to woodworkers and hobbyists and I swear they can get any type of wood in existence. I love going in that place just to see samples.
  20. Been really busy at work, trying to get the basement finished before the baby comes, and everything around me has been breaking, so the little time I have left is dedicated to sleep. Was hoping to finish the basement last week (finally got all the mudding done), then the woman called and said there was water all over the floor. Go down and investigate and the water heater had blown it's top. Literally. Pressure relief valve was limed shut, even though when I checked it a month ago, everything was fine. So I spent all day Sunday clearing out our utility room, removing the water heater and an old fiberglass shower down there, and then got the water heater installed which blew my budget for wood, trim, and paint. Then Tuesday, both toilets decided they wanted to break, so I spent the rest of the week fixing the shitters. Then Friday, my exhaust fell off. Today, comcast was out, and tomorrow, I have to go put my new exhaust on.
  21. Should be a Mitsubishi alt, so anyone that can build that should be able to help you. Or, if you can work a dual alt setup, you can go with any self-exciting regulated alt.
  22. Finally, my comcast is up!
  23. Yeah, he needs to change some things on the site, such as a certain dealer.
  24. All of the 5.0L parts will fit. It's based on the same Fox platform. Only bad part is, the Lincoln weighs about 1000 more pounds. Good looking car for it's age. The headlights are an easy fix and no need to buy new. You can simply buff them with a buffing wheel and some plastic or soft cutting polish and they'll shine like new. No more haze.
  25. Kent, can you post a pic of the Belle? I've never seen a bronze Memphis amp. Thought they were all that gunmetal type color.
