  1. Happy Berfday Dr. Captain!
  2. Shoot me an email on your total remaining inventory please.
  3. 12" of fresh snow overnight. I have to get a snow blower. It's started again, so there's no point in shoveling now.
  4. Thank you Neil! I was just about to PM you and ask about these when I saw this thread.
  5. As of now, there are no plans for 15" drivers. They just don't sell in the numbers the 12s do. Contact Nick; he may still have a few of the 15s left.
  6. I don't know what the exact ratings will be, but power targets will be 1KW and under. There is a price point in mind, but I cannot state it yet. It won't be set in stone until production is finalized and actual driver cost is determined. I can say however that it will be very appealing. Once Nick gives us the okay, we can release some more information. I really think Nick has hit some strong points on this new driver and they will be more easily attainable for more enjoyment. Remember the Reps when you need to make a purchase or need some info!
  7. I am so sick of snow and cold weather. How I ever got stuck living here. . .
  8. I am so with you here! Take the shit out of the amp, and put it in one little box. No, they have to complicate shit. IF they were REALLY smart, they'd make symbilink processor that does all of this shit and can work with any Zapco amp, so they'll all have the same features in every class.
  9. Another thing that pisses me off is Selig. What an asshat. You spend all this damn money on this fucking report, but yet you don't want to spend the money to have the players tested properly, so you just make excuses. I'm sick of this guy playing a politician, a stupid one at that, and trying to talk his way out of all responsibility. Jose Canseco brought all this shit up years ago. Everyone knew about it, yet nobody did anything, so as far as I'm concerned, they are ALL to blame.
  10. Still saddens me how the injuries have messed with Griffey, the guy is what baseball should be. We wouldn't be saying anything about Bonds if he stayed healthy. he has the sweetest swing(griffey) i use a signature griffey bat for baseball, though my swing is nothing like his. i haven't seen the report, hopefully a-rod isn't on it. i think he'll topple bonds, and i like how he plays the game. he didn't choke as much in the playoffs this year either. and that's all the baseball i know, lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I've never really liked A-rod that much. He's always been portrayed (through the media) as a cocky arrongant bastard, but since his forgoing his agent, I have come to have much respect for him. The man can play, perhaps better than anyone. He makes all this money, yet comes out everynight and plays. That's how you know he truly loves the gam, and I don't know how many of the guys still play just for that. I was pissed when he came to the Bronx, but have grown to tolerate him. Perhaps now, I can actually enjoy him as a player, but we'll see. At this point in the game, health is all that matters.
  11. Here's my take on 'roids and the game. First off, the public is so stupid. Just because you're taking roids doesn't mean you'll develop muscle. You still have to work to develop it. As for HGH, as far as I'm concerned, if they were using it when it was NOT a banned substance by the MLB, then they face no penalty. Under las yes, as the majority of them were taking it without a prescription which is illegal, but they should face no penalty from the MLB. Jailtime, or fines, no problem. . Suspensions and lost pay, doesn't fly with me. Second, there is absolutley zero credible evidence on any of these players. These guys play years of grueling schedules and tear their bodies apart. They go to the trainers, and these guys tell them they have something that will take the pain away and they get a shot. They don't ask what it is, they don't care, all they want is the pain to subside so they can play. How many of these guys who were supposedly injected by said trainers knew what was even in the damn thing? an angry person could really screw up a players life without them even knowing. We all know there are many haters out there just looking for any opportunity to cause trouble. Lastly, what pisses me off the most, is this is being put on baseball so hard. You don't hear shit about football, basketball, hockey, wrestling, weightlifting, or any other sports. We all know this problem is prevalent throughout sporting worldwide, yet some people see the need to pick on baseball and Barry Bonds in particular. You see people preaching about how the "old timers" did it naturally. Well, how the fuck do we know that? How do we know Babe Ruth wasn't shooting himself up with horse roids? How do we know Willie Mays wasn't taking some special pills? We have no clue, but everyone makes the assumptions. . . . And my parting gift; these guys who take this shit knowlingly, know the risks, so if they are willing to take those risks, I say let them. They may have several years of awesome numbers, but will spend the rest of their life regretting it, so let them be.
  12. Hola!
  13. You're not too dumb otherwise you'd have never posed the questions. This is the time right now to take the problem head on. With something like this, once you get it figured out, it's twice as rewarding, and then you might just start to understand it better. A forum is a great place for help, but sometimes the answer isn't as obvious as it seems and can be just downright impossible to diagnose over a computer.
  14. Since you're using BassBox, click on the car tab in the drivers properties and open the car file, then graph it again and you'll get an idea of what Jim is speaking of. That ruler flat line will soon turn into peaks and several of them quite exagerrated.
  15. That's it. I am officially done with Sony. BAck to Eclipse I guess. What's the point in a HU anymore?
  16. I REFUSE to buy CDs unless I have to. It's almost impossible to get a good recording anyways. IMO, the rcording industry deserves nothing for the shitty stuff that comes out nowadays. All this technology and they just use it to over-equalize everything.
  17. I can't believe nobody's hit on this yet, but my opinion is cancellation. I'm guessing the dual sub setup you had was sealed and you chose to go vented with a single driver now to increase efficiency. Well, with that you added another POTENTIAL problem area in both cancellation and impedance spikes. Every application will differ, so just because you're drivers may be in the same spot as the previous application, doen't mean it will sound the same. Do me a favor for shits and giggles. . . If you can, fire the sub at the back and push the enclosure as far against the tail as you can without hitting it. Now place your head at the farthest point you can from the enclosure front which will be either the edge of the dash, or better yet, stick your head under the dash by the firewall. Then tell us what happens. There was a very good writeup on the site about impedance rise, and if you're not totally familiar with this principle, I suggest reading it.
  18. All materials will have a distinct sonic characteristic. Ideally you want something dense and solid. Take a piece of acrylic and smack it with a hammer, then take a piece of lead and smack it with a hammer, you'll get what I'm saying. Now, using plexi on a couple walls, you won't notice a thing given it's strong enough and sealed properly. An all acrylic enclosure will definately have a different sound than an MDF enclosure. It all has to do with wave damping really. With acrylic, you're likely to have more resonance, standing waves, etc, but we're getting into "golden ear" territory here. I really wouldn't worry about it unless she's an audiphile and it's clear she's not or the question would have never been raised.
  19. I am right there with you.
  20. Do you have any evidence to support this? The lamp is far more fragile than the ballast, especially if it's magnetic. I've never heard anything like this.
  21. Pussy whipped Some pussy's worth the whippin!
  22. Got one of my Sonys working again. Any bets on how long it will last? This is thoroughly pissing me off. Normally I don't change HUs for 5-10yrs.
  23. At what 3x the price of an Optima? And you don't have to pay for shipping.
