Kent, it's aluminum, so it shouldn't take anymore than 15-20ft.lbs. for proper torquing. That's considerably less than you are able to do just by hand, so as long as you tightented them tight, it should be good. It definately sounds like a leak though. The only cause I could see is a bad gasket as it's impossible to screw up its orientation. I guess the plenum or intake could possible be warped as well, but I don't think aluminum warps. Make sure you check your vacuum hoses as well. This could also be the problem and I am guessing it IS the problem. A small leak could be a killer.

I wouldn't run high octane unless your timing and comp ratio call for it. The higher the octane rating, the harder it is to burn. If your car will run on 87, run it on that. Less stress on the mechanicals and a better running vehicle in addition to cheaper fuel. Of course I'm guessing with its age and the bigblock, compression is up there along with a healthy dose of timing.

How much is too much for a mag?
As long as you're careful, the Mag will be happy. If you're looking for some increased output, definately go with the vented enclosure specs on the website.

I think I'm done with cars. Might be time to just lease something and turn it in ever 2 years and not have to worry about anything audio or part related.

pushrods ain't thaaaat bad Look at how many people love the Ls series of motors and how long the chevy small-block has been playing with push rods. That's due to economics. GM hasn't been able to figure out how to mass-produce an OHC V8 cheap enough yet, and they won't make concessions that Ford has. You have stemmed my curiousity on the concessions you are referring to. Well, let's take the Ford Modular motors for example. Their 4 vlave 4.6 is the cheapest DOHC V8 in production. IT's small, lightweight, a little down on power and durability, but it's super-efficient and very smooth. The blocks themselves can handle over 1000HP, but their weaker internals are their downfall. Notice when Ford Supercharged the Cobra in '03 they went with an iron blcok and forged internals. Now, they say they did this for durability, but there were a ton of racers already pumping a lot of boost into the aluminum blocks with nothing more than forged internals. The aluminum blocks were proven performers in the strenght area, but with Ford adding forged internals and a supercharger, they had to cut costs soomewhere. Bring in the iron block. They have been very aware of the HUGE success of the Mustang aftermarket and left it upon this aftermarket to take the most advantage of the engines. I think GM should follow suit. The market that is going to be buying these engines in these vehicles is also going to be looking into the aftermarket anyways, so why not cheapen up on the engine a little bit and leave it to the end user? You get less weight, higher rev potnential and the best part is increased efficiency. GM has always been one to sort of stay with what works, and while it has worked, sometimes you need to venture out and try something new. They got the SB Chevy to be THE CHEAPEST ENGINE to mass produce and work on, so I'm sure, if they tried, they would have no problem with adapting to the OHC engines as well. Their only venture I can recall is the ZR1 corvette, and THAT is far from cheap to produce or repair. It was very overcomplicated. Now, this is strictly my opinion here.

Speedo waaaay off
It could be a bad speedo gear, stretched cable, someone could've installed different ring and pinion, or a speed sensor problem. Does it have ABS? I'm guessing not. 88 Formula should've been a TPI 305 or 350, so it would've had a computer in which case it would've also had a speed sensor(s) (4L60 or 700R4). ABS car will have the tranny sensor and at each wheel where ABS is active.

I Feel stupid for asking this.........
Should be on the drivers side near the fenderwell cover in front. Get on your back and have a peek right behind the bumper cover. You may have a dual horn setup though which means it will be on either side.

Motherfucker! I was cleaning my car and had the decklid up. Well, I bent down to wipe the bumper cover and upon coming up, I knocked my fucking head on the corner of the decklid. Next thing I know, I'm waking up and seeing red. Needless to say, there is both a cut and lump on my head that hurts like a sumbitch. I have to admit though, the red vision was kinda cool, until I realized I was bleeding. Band-Aids don't exactly stick to hair.

Need help finding wire terminals.
That's exactly what I'm referring to. I have used them before for 8 guage, but it was years ago, and I'm having NO luck finding a source for them now.

best way to square cut tube??
Cut it close enough to where you need it, then almost as brother Ramos suggested, make a plug to fit inside it, and spin that bitch up against a flush trim router bit. Perfect every time.

Need help finding wire terminals.
Anyone know where I can find some .25" FEMALE quick disconnect speaker wire terminals that will accept 8 guage wire? I've searched to no avail, but I HAVE purchased some before. I cannot find them anywhere.

Welcome to the IHoP
what're you thinkin of? Something old you've gotta give me more details than that Okay, most likely something from 1965 - 1969. Thinking about something that I can customize a bit more than a Pantera. I really want one, but don't think I will have 80g's laying around to do what I need to anytime soon. Less of a sacrifice to do something more common. As for the details I am really not sure what I want yet. It depends on the availability of good SLA suspension parts Bang for the buck engine and transmission Looks & i prefer a bit of originality and something that I can add my own flair to I'd prefer dual 18's IB as well with a three way front stage Drivetrain and suspension will probably make the pick for me. Might I add, American built! My very first car you just described there. '69 Torino GT.

Weight loss and stress questions...help!
Justin, when I lost my job I went through the exact same shit. Literally everything you've posted, vomit included. I went to doctors for months and they found NOTHING wrong with me. They attributed it to stress and put me on medication. Well, needless-to-say, the meds worked for a short while, then I began hallucinating because of them. They are still in my mind to this day. Just a step away from reality, and they were not good hallucinations either. So I dumped the meds and just started to work on my mind. I would feel a panic attack coming on and I'd just have to stop what I was doing and calm myself down and I'd be okay. Lately here, I have been overstressed and these same symptoms have arisen again. I've now had to re-train myself to take care of them like before. I've been doing great this past week, and IMO, if you follow suit, you may help your situation greatly. Good luck my friend!
