  1. Yeah, it's nearly impossible to get a loan right now too since I've only been at my new job for 6 months.
  2. I'm lost.
  3. So. . . I changed the snow tires from the Audi wheels to the Lincoln wheels last week. I'm prepping the Audi to sell, but I'm in no hurry as the weather's turning and I have no garage. Last weekend I changed the interior over in the Lincoln so I can drive that and parked the Audi. Well, now OF is slipping and I have a horrible miss at idle and directly off idle. I have a new engine and trans to swap in the thing, but I'm working massive hours, and again, no garage. WTF?!
  4. I DESPISE driving in Chicago! Fuck it all to hell. Speaking of fucking, it's my preferred form of exercise.
  5. PIMPIN!!!
  6. With fat chicks if you want to add weights to your routine.
  7. I had a big reply typed out, but I decided to simplify. I will agree that back in the 60s and early seventies the engines were overbuilt. Performance was what sold cars, and they just had to build things differently back then. Nowadays, cost and efficiency are what matter. We see cast cranks, pistons, and powdered metal rods because they are cheaper and easier to manufacture. The manufactures build a small tolerance in them, but no more than they need to make it through the warranty. The only "affordable" stock engines to boost are small block Chevys and the latest GM small blocks, and the only reason they are affordable is because they are so plentiful. You can throw boost or juice at them with reckless abandon and just buy another one at virtually any junkyard for a few hundred dollars and be running again in a day.
  8. If it's not designed for boost, it IS an afterthought. There's no way around that, being foreign or domestically designed. Nobody designs an engine for boost with no intention of running boost, early or modern. The ONLY plus of the newer engines is their increased thermal efficiency. That is the only reason you are seeing boosted engines producing more power now.
  9. They make cheap tires in every size. Just like everything though, you get what you pay for.

  11. EDIT Apparently I can not embed video. WTF>
  12. It's a zero resale car. The newer Hyundais actually hold some value. Right about the time of the last recession is when they started upping their game. Their still of a lesser quality, IMO, but I know plenty of Hyundai owners who are pleased with their purchases.
  13. Permanently.
  14. Surely he would break her.
  15. That is fucking awesome!
  16. Too much current or too much resistance via a poor connection. Meter the coil. As long as it reads good, you should be issue free.
  17. That motherfucker can keep on driving. The internet has saved me from him. He did get a good chunk back when I was an electrician though.
  18. For me it's all about passion and knowing my limitations. I have tens of thousands of dollars in mechanical tools. I take pride in my mechanical work; I understand I have depth of knowledge and talent in that area and I always strive to do the best I can, so I will always use the best tool I feel I need for the job. Cooking, I suck at. I understand I have limitations and I could never be talented enough, nor do I have the desire to improve my lackluster skill set, so the $7 knife and comfort at my current talent level is satisfactory to me.
  19. I wouldn't know what to do with a proper knife. In my instance, ignorance truly is bliss.
  20. Most I've spent on a knife is $7.
  21. Why is it I never want to get right up and go to work, but on my days off, I can't for the life of me sleep more than 5 hours and my body just wants to be awake?!
  22. Why is it I always find the vehicle I want at the most inopportune time?
