  1. Not if it's solid cable. Stranded cable with more strands means more surface area and a better path for the electrons to flow. As for the cheap cable, I had a buddy buy a 1/0 kit off Ebay for $20, and yeah, 1/0 of insulation, cable was about 6.
  2. Happy Berfday Homie! Hope all is well! First one with Arthur!
  3. Pics of the Claws in there? I SERIOUSLY want those.
  4. Not exactly HOB material.
  5. Hard to type. Pun intended.
  6. I'm getting my duck sicked at this very moment. If I could post a photo, I would.
  7. Actually, I didn't mean IB, but that could work well, but most are not satified with the output. Mounting the sub and enclosure to the deck and or back of seats and sealing the trunk from the cabin means you're only pressurizing the listening environment instead of that and the trunk. I've done it on the Taurus and the results are great. You don't necessarilt have to do it in the rear deck or cut a huge hole either. There are many ways to implement it. The vented alignment will give you a boost in output, but with a steep drop off below tuning. If you want the ability to go "as low as possible," that can only be achieved with a sealed setup.
  8. hope your not talkin about me lol If he was, you wouldn't have been able to post or read that.
  9. Ideal setup would be to plug the sub and enclosure into the rear deck and seal the trunk from the cabin. THe next inline would be the rear corner of the trunk. Vented or sealed will really depend on your tastes.
  10. Those are the only 2 companies that I have not heard one bad comment on. Ok, but what do you personally think of either brand? also what about excessive amperage? Been considering an upgrade, just not sure which way to shoot. I dont want to spend say $350 then find out its not doing what its supposed to do, then spend another $450 or so to get one that does what its supposed to. Id rather just spend the $450 or whatever it may be then doing in twice. I can't really comment on either in any way, except for the fact that I know HO has some components made to their specifications specifically for their units. That right there says a lot. I don't have any direct experience with either, so it would be foolish of me to comment on their products.
  11. Peace! I'm out.
  12. Box shape has absolutely zero effect on anything. Now, vent shapes, sizes, bends, etc. . . . can affect many things.
  13. Just click it, I did, its kinda funny. So does anyone know how much a factory radio outa a 04 Chevy truck (Bose, CD/Tape/Radio) would cost from somewhere. Hell, has anyone on here taken theirs out and replaced it with a better one and have the factory one sitting around? The CD player function went out in my grandparents truck and I don't think putting a new cd player in there would be the smatest thing, I don't want to have them calling me to figure out the damn thing. Plus keeping a tape deck is a must basically. An 04 should still be covered under warranty assuming they're still within the mileage limit. Some dealers may even fudge on that a little. I'd say take it to the dealer and tell them to warranty it.
  14. Me too. Spent the past hour and a half or so dealing with body filler trying to get this stupid enclosure somewhat smooth. If you have room and some plastic, take some body filler and resin and mix is to a nice consistency. Then you can add the hardener and pour it over the enclosure, or brush it on. It builds up nicely and is somewhat self leveling, making sanding easy.
  15. The big wheel theme was only cool when we were kids. This stuff is just stupid. And the fact that they have to put stickers in their windows so you know the exact size of the wheel. WHo really gives a shit? My buddy did this with his Caprice and I call it a Tonka Toy. Just looks ghey.
  16. Me= dead tired.
  17. I suddenly have the urge for a huge glass of milk.
  18. FEDEX im not going usps, they are a pain well im bot paying mofre than $2 shipping per since you could ship it USPS for like $2.40 for the both. YGPM in like 2 min. I dont know where you got this figure from but its going to be about $7.50 USPS is like $1.20 cheaper and not worth my time to drive there. Not that it matters, but the USPS will pick up. I use them all the time specifically for this reason. Saves me a trip to FedEx.
  19. You're thinking of the XT19.
