Welcome to the IHoP
My bro graduates from college tonight. He's going to Purdue to further his education in August. Las time I was at Purdue, I barely escaped arrest and had quite a few possible baby mommas.

Assassin or Kv.2...?
The flatcone looks exquisite. Many have been very happy with their performance. I had a pair of the old flatcone 10Os when they first came out, but never got the chance to use them. My only problem with them is if something happens to the driver, you cannot get it re-coned into a flatcone again.

That's the messed up part of my old industry. There are absolutley no regulations or enforcement agencies. It's really easy for someone to go into the business and screw people.

Welcome to the IHoP
That's what my last three employers wrote on my letters of recommendation. Funny thing is, I personally never would have thought of cleaning my carpet on a constant basis had I not got tha job. I learned quite a bit there about a lot of things.

That has been banned for a while. I know some still use it though. Most common now is mineral spirits, but I know plenty of states that will not allow you to use this either. Many cleaners are moving away from a lot of the harmful chemicals. There's actually a 3 step process we used to use to wet clean dry-clean only textiles. Spray on the dye-setting product, then spray with the cleaner and extract and rinse with a special rinse, run over it again with a dry extraction and voila! Works great on furniture and drapery, as well as wool. YOu guys ever smell a wet wool rug or carpet? It's nasty.

50/50 or what's the ratio? 70 water / 30 WV? Mix in a bucket and scrub area with a cloth? Let dry? Vacuum it up? Throw a typical household fan in the area to move air around? Go a little heavy on the Vinegar at first. A little more than half. Pour it on and let it soak for about 15 minutes. Then take a shop vac and extract it in about a 15" radiuse. Liquids will spread and not stay confined to the original area, therefore you need to extract a little ways around the initial dump.

Assassin or Kv.2...?
I have one. They are indeed a $100 driver and nothing more. I liked mine at first, but that was only with a couple hours of play time. Now with a month+ time with it, I really wish I would've spent my money more-wisely.

You would be VERY surprised at the amount of science behind cleaning. It's amazing. I've been to countless classes thinking I would just be bored as hell by watching someone teach me how to clean a carpet properly. You wouldn't think there would be much to it, but it really was a great time and extremely informative.

Ammonia is great as well, but dilute it heavily. Some of the best cleaning products available to commercial cleaners are ammonia-based and they clean exceptionally well. If you have a problem with stains you can't remove or urine especially, let me know and I'll direct you to a product that will remove pretty much anything and keeps working after it's been extracted.

Steve, white Vinegar and water on the puke. NEVER USE ANY TYPE OF SOAP OR DETERGENT ON CARPET!! IT will leave a residue that will NEVER come out unless properly cleaned by a trained professional. The residue will also attract dirt and your clean spot will be a constant stain from then on. ALways clean on the Alkaline side and rinse on the Acid side. If you didn't know, I am certified in carpet and upholstery maintenance and restoration. NEVER use Resolve!

I know the feeling. Broke my right arm 3" past the wrist. I was so shocked because it was bent all the way back to where the back of my hand was touching the opposite side of my forearm. I grabbed it and put it back in place myself, but upon doing so, broke the bone in another place further up. Once my arm was straight, you could see a u-shaped bend in my arm from the loose section of bone hanging below the rest.

Assassin or Kv.2...?
Don't put all your faith in that. Too many people worry about POTENTIAL displacement, but in reality, they never use the driver to it's full displacement capability. AND, just becuase it may displace more air does NOT mean it WILL INDEED be louder. There are simply too many variables.

An Answer to RE's price hikes:
I just build one into a 15... Not sure if it's possible to make an 8" recone with a 3" VC? nG Wasn't the eDuh monster 8 based on the TC9??? On another note, this is just an evolution of a company. I can recall my teenage years when JL was just breaking out. Their drivers were beyond every other driver on the market in their price range and they were CHEAP back then. And again, you will NEVER see an 8" driver from SI, unless Nick happens to get an interest in making components again. I am VERY surprised we are even seeing a 10" coming to the market from him.

Kent, Fuck 'em. If they wanna spend the money, let them. They won't listen to reason, just their peers. Let them pay and then figure out for themselves just how stupid they are.
