Welcome to the IHoP
Sure, but you may end up strangling me as well. I am quite anal and everything has to be perfect with me. I suppose that could change with some coaxing from other employees though.

My buddy's father does that when he talks to me, except it' Spanglish and I only know bad Spanish words.

That movie was such a waste of my time. In my experience, the only people I know who enjoyed it are rather simple-minded and not exactly people I would consider too intellectual.

I have a soldering handle at work that will also weld copper together. It'll weld 1/0 cable in 2 seconds, but heats the cable so much that the insulation gets so hot and will not cool quick enough to shrink back down. Loose goose.

Port Area
Enclosure size and power level? For a safe bet, anywhere from 12 to 15 square inches per cubic foot will be good.

dd vs. new re
The numbers are pointless really. Will the application need and/or yield full Xmax? ANd even with Xmax, there is still added displacement potential, albiet not linear. No real way to tell, and no sense in even arguing it. Engineers punch in some numbers and it works on paper. Incorporate it into reality, and it doesn't always work. One may have more potential than another, but it doesn't matter if it's not needed or will/can be used.

best place to buy H/O alts.....
Ask them if the rotor is rewound along with the stator. Ask them for the manufacturer and part numbers of the rectifier and regulator. Ask them the amperage rating for the diodes. DO they use quality bearings? Just an FYI, the Nippondenso's are notorious for having weak stators. Our supplier won't even rewind them due to the fact that they just don't last. Most of the high output stuff we do for Hondas end up getting replaced with a simple cheap Delco unit. I say cheap because they really are, price wise. They are abundant and parts are readily available, where as the Denso units, well, I've already gone into that.

RIght where the index finger connects to the knuckle. I hit that bitch at least 20 times a week full bore with a 2lb. hammer. A few weeks ago, I broke a bone on the side of my hand snapping a kick panel back in place. I missed my mark and my hand snagged the hood popper and fractured the bone. It was so damn swollen, I couldn't even wash my hands.

How so? You speak English.

Welcome to the IHoP
Blah. Broke another bone in my hand. I really need to start hitting the punch with the hammer instead of my hand.

I can tell you with HO, you are getting your money's worth. They have their own components made for their alts. They've done their homework and KNOW what they are doing. THey may be more expensive, but the difference is an alternator that lasts 1-3 years to one that lasts 7-10 years.
