  1. What's the intended application? If you're really serious about the best possible sound, be prepared to spend some money and do some serious planning.
  2. 600 is more than enough, but it's always best to have more if you desire.
  3. Lovely production. Once I get mine back, I'm throwing 2400+ at it in 1 cube.
  4. You have it wired correctly. The problem lies somewhere else. If it is a cancellation issue, try moving the enclosure around and seeing if that helps. Also try different firing arrangements. If nothing helps, then the problem lies within the equipment somewhere.
  5. Sometimes I'll ride around with my laptop trying to find an available network. Works like a charm at Barnes & Noble's.
  6. The enclosure shape is going to have little to no effect on the driver as far as a sealed enclosure is concerned. You'll hear many debates about standing waves, but they are not going to be present in subbass enclosures. What is the vehicle? Have you double checked you wiring? It sounds to me as if you have the coils wired together, yet out of phase essentially causing a short. Double check everything and make sure it's all correct.
  7. I seriously need to finish my own stuff before doing anyone else's crap. Why does this ALWAYS happen? My car has been torn apart since last March.
  8. Simple vented. Easier to tune and manipulate versus the Wicked One.

Sexy. And I don't even need to see the entire wheel.
  10. You just totally screwed us. Dennis, you're in school. Only repayment I need is to see you kick some nerd's ass.
  11. It's plenty warm. Great choice though!
  12. I actually kinda like them. AS for the subs, I have heard from some dealers that they actually have a driver a step above the regular RSD. It'c the RSD Pro I believe. Anyways, I've heard quite a bit of hype about this driver, but I also did the Titanium Elites, but never saw many or heard about them. Overall, there seems to be such a small niche market for highend gear and it seems to be well covered. I think the major manufacturers are starting to cater more towards the "average purchaser" than the die-hard enthusiast.
  13. Mag subs = Stereo Integrity, but thanks anyway... Right. . . I thought someone was giving some away.
  14. Are you looking to simulate your 1320 times?
  15. Agreed! I cannot stand Nascar short of the short tracks and road courses.
  16. The DCX2496 is more than capable of handling pretty much anything. Granted, it will only do 3-way stereo, but the crossover and EQ functions are tremendous. There are many features that the "normal" user wouldn't understand. I've been contemplating the CarPC Idea, but I would prefer to have all processing handled by the computer. I don't know of any programs available for this yet, so . . . .
  17. They are both. Excellent amps though.
  18. Tranfer function. Try moving the enclosure around and facing differently. You are experiencing, either cancellation or a lack of output due to the enclosure reacting to the vehicle negatively reverting back to the transfer function.
  19. Mine were pretty easy. Never get too dirty, so the cleaning was the easy part. Did you spray them? I have a paintbrush (hehe), airbrush, and auto-body gun. I would prefer to not remove them however...so lazy, hate brake fluid, gonna pay someone to flush them as I don't feel like rebuilding a tool to do it. Just curious as avoiding any "learning" mistakes is great. Only time I have ever painted a set they were brand new, made it pretty easy to mask and spray. Yup. Rattle can job. I already had them removed to polish them, but decided to only polish the Cobra on them and paint the rest. I simply sanded them with some 320, wiped down with lacquer thinner, masked appropriate area, tacked them, then painted.
  20. I try to edit creatively.
  21. That took forever! 6 months, but I can't really complain. I got the part at cost, and didn't have to pay for labor. It took him 4 months to get a motherboard and Gateway would not come off their source until they became a factory authorized Gateway service center. Needless to say, $380 and 6 months later, now I'm at a total investment of $1080 and the thing is still worth a good $1500+.
  22. Quit buying all those damn drivers and get yourself a router and some Jasper jigs. IT'll be your best investment to date.
  23. All taken care of guys! Thanks!
  24. Happy Berfday! What day was it BTW?
  25. So happy to have my laptop back!
