Hot, cold, you couldn't PAY me enough to enjoy deadening. Hell, you could have 10 naked playmates assisting me and I'd still hate it. Of course if that were the case, I wouldn't get any deadening done atall.

I think your best bet is to first, figure out what is easily available to you. It seems to me, with your geographic dilemma, that you are best suited to shop at a local store. Mailorder seems out fo the question. BEing as how you are pretty much restricted to that, go out and do some listening, then you can come back and give us your impressions or ask pertiant questions you may have before buying.

Or a simpler method would be to wire parallel and try to measure the rise. Be cautious of course, but if the rise is similar, the amplfier should be able to handle it IF it can get over the initial 1 ohm reading at rest, which should be instantly risen given the introduction of voltage at turn-on.

I think the GN V6 shouldn't be exclusive to that just that. Every GM 3.8 and 3800 is just a damn fine motor as far as reliability is concerned. I ran one on basically no oil for almost 3000 miles and it never gave up. Lost 3 cylinders, but it still ran and drove. I have several other great experiences with that particular engine. My buddy also had an 87 Olds 88 with the 3800 in it. He crove that car for 6 years and never once changed the oil. It is still running like new to this day.

Actually, you will have less space than that. Assuming those are your external measurements and you're using 3/4" material, you only have 1.82 cubic feet of internal airspace. I know for a fact that you will not be happy in this application. You need to find some more volume or get a different driver. Now, if those are the internal measurements, you are fine for both volume and pole vent clearance. As a general rule of thumb, you should allow at least and inch of clearance from the pole vent to any object.
