  1. Not that I know of, but this is the first time I've ever had swelling. It usually hurts for a couple minutes, then it's gone. This was that way, but when I woke up yesterday morning, I noticed my toe was swollen, then last night, noticed it was my entire foot. I guess the dancing didn't help.
  2. Yeah, something is funky there. That's low.
  3. I got stung by a wasp Friday night and my entire foot is about twice the size of the other. It's funny looking!
  4. Long weekend.
  5. You can probably order one now. However there is not even a ship date for the pre ordered ones. Though they are in the build process that is a big step forward. Now just packing and shipping (the longer process). but as said, email nick he'll be glad to help you out. Correct, you can order now. And it's packing and shipping to Nick, then testing, then re-packing and shipping to the customer.
  6. I should mention that by home app. I didn't specifically mean home theater but more along the lines of music. I just wanted to indicate the sub is not going to be used inside a car thus changing my box size and tuning. thanks, b I finally decided on 3.2 tuned to 27 and I used beermans calc to have an easy cut sheet (note I went with the spl enclosure) which gives me a rediculous amount of port area, like 47"^2. I've cut all the pieces and I should start putting it together 2morrow. My question is how much does smoothing out the port pannels help. Hence they are obviously a 90 deg angle now, if I make them all smooth and put in ramp type things in the corners to offset this will I improve the box noticably? Thanks You probably will NOT be able to hear a difference.
  7. Damn! I'm surprised you were able to get that thing stripped by chemical means. Must have been a simple paint versus the PC. Polish it up as best as possible and shoot a translucent color on it. It will have the appearance of a colored chrome.
  8. Too many available. DO some searching in your pricerange. Lot of stuff out there.
  9. Do you have underdrive pulleys? I don't really see how you can own that piece and be concerned about mileage. It just doesn't go together. Especially with a lump cam and the low gears. BTW, how's your vacuum? Also, you will INCREASED highway mileage compared to city driving. Personally, I would find a slightly smaller diameter alternator pulley. This should help spin it faster at idle without affecting anything else. Keep in mind that it may be detrimental to the lifespan of the alt, but I highly doubt it.
  10. They're still unavailable, but have been seen in some demo vehicles for parent company ICON.
  11. Forget the chemical stripper. It will get you nowhere on that powdercoat. You're going to have to sand or best bet is to have it sand blasted.
  12. A great time in the industry!!!
  13. Screw the intricate enclosures. No need for all that if it's just for HT duty. I fail to see the benefits of a horn or other complex design with the 12" driver. A standard vented enclosure should provide more than enough output, be simple, less time-consuming, and you have more than enough power available to have deafening levels within the house. Build the box to VAS, tune to FS, should yield and F3 of FS. Couple that with the fact that it will be extremely flat and the lowend will be overwhelming. Won't be great for music, unless you listen to a lot of pipe organs and what not, but for HT, it will excel.
  14. LISTEN TO MY FUKCED UP PAST 2 HOURS! Okay, so everyone knows the story now about my previous union job. Well, about 1 hour ago, I got a call from Comcast to go take some tests for their installer program. I kindly told the lady I'm going to school. End of conversation. I call my rep from school to inquire about a few things and so far I'm playing phone tag with him. Short while later, I hear my voicemail indicator on my phone. Check my messages; 2 from him, 1 from the woman, and 1 from my previous employer. Call the old boss, he asks me if a guy gave me a phone call about a job, I say no. Then tell him I'm going to school, so it doesn't matter anyway. Then he asks if I want my old job back. I politely said no, way too much trouble, and I'm set on school. Then he asks if I'd like to come work until I go to school. Is that F-ed up or what? After my crazy rant this morning on my raw union deal, the guy decides to call me 2 years later and ask if I'd like my job back???!!! WEIRD!
  15. Yup, it was a nitrous fire.
  16. Ha! That was a big joke a couple years ago. It was an improv, but well done if you ask me.
  17. WOW! That's some freaky $hit. Why do the bikes all of a sudden just shake the rider like so? It's like a bucking bronco.
  18. No Vaselinus?
  19. Voltage to ground is the ONLY way to do a proper test. NEVER rely on continuity for fuses.
  20. Seen those too. That poor Vette.
  21. Many will laugh at me, but I have had some success over the past week removing the scuff marks on my door sills and kick panels. It's quite intensive, but it works so well. Here goes. Well, I started out wiping the pieces down with Turpentine. It's smell and fumes are horrendous, so use caution. Definately REMOVE THE PIECES FROM YOUR VEHICLE! Next take some tire cleaner, I use Wesley's Bleach White, and spray and scrub them down. Make sure all the turpentine residue is gone. Next, take your spray on interior detailer, I use Turtle Wax Formula 2001, and LIBERALY spray them with it. Let the stuff sit on there for some time, but no more than a couple hours. Make sure they are in a cool dry spot, not out in the sun. After the time has passed, take a clean cloth and spray a LIGHT MIST of the detailer on the cloth and proceed to wipe the remaining residue off the panels. This will leave them with a bright shiny finish, but it will not be sticky, nor attract dust. I have started to do this everytime I detail my interior and I've received so many compliments on it, it's amazing. Now, I don't go the entire route everytime I detail, I simply remove what panels I can, spray them down, let them soak, wipe them off, and re-install. After re-installation, I suggest wiping them again with the same cloth to remove any smudges you may have left as the oils may not be completely dry.
