  1. Someone shoot me.
  2. Man, why do I feel like $hit today?
  3. At least they're not up in Canada at the Vancouver port - by the time the truckers end their strike and the port goes back to work, depending on how far in the container was ... it could've been Christmas time before you seen parts It's all good now.
  4. Check my linkz Any one should do you fine. Knowing me, I'd go with the Autotek, because I like the older pieces. I haven't seen an Autotek like that in YEARS. I miss the good old days where it was just a big sink and badge.
  5. Good night my fellow audio lovers!
  6. Beautiful.

And you'll be seeing even less of him shortly. Great pics Aaron!

Black stickers? Send me a PM with what you had in mind ... I'll take care of you Thank you sir, but I'm fine with these. The fact that I may have to daily drive the car while at school is weighing heavily on decisions with everything on it right now. I was thinking of getting some Kraco stickers to deter theft. Once they see that, they won't even want to waste their time.
  9. Make sure you make something to seal that vent hold up again. I have to agree with Josh on this one. I think you'll be much happier with them sealed.

That's exactly where I put mine, then removed it. It was bad. I compare it to wearing a red shirt with pink pants. That's how great the difference was. I should've gone with a black scheme.
  11. fudge allen terminals, there's just no need. Spring terminals that easily accept up to 8awg are TEH WIN!!! NG The allen terminal will provide a far better connection in way or contact area on the wire. Think about it. The spring loaded deals only contact a small portion of the wire. It may or may not make a big deal, but in actuality, the cheap spades and the allen connection provide for more contact and a far superior connection.
  12. IMO, if they are making that comparison, they need some more education. Maybe a Funky Pup, but any capable 15 should have a HUGE displacement advantage that would only be hindered by incorrect application. I see no feasible way for a TRUE comparison between them.
  13. A pair of 8" drivers should be plenty. Now you'll want to find a set of drivers that will be optimal to your application. Assuming you want to use your doors as an enclosure only, I would suggest looking into a pair or Kicker RMB8s. These might be hard to find as they don't make them any longer. However, they have a new 6" and 8" midbass available in the SS series. I have used the RMB8s many times before and they are excellent drivers. Better yet, seeing as how you're in the UK, why don't you list some drivers that you have access to.
  14. Something that simple, you may have luck with a simple rubbing compound found at Wal-Mart for about 99cents. If that doesn't work, you can try whatever type of scratch and swirl remover you can find. I use the hard to get, expensive stuff, so that's probably not an option for you. If you have a local auto body paint store near, take a trip there and ask them what they have. These shops are really invaluable to anal bastards like myself. They have products twice as good as the typical off-the-shelf consumer variety you can find at any auto parts store.
  15. YO! Finally fell asleep yesterday around 10AM. Made sure to wake myself up around noon so as to not sleep all day and screw up the cycle even more. Oh well.
  16. With the amount of processing available today it seems that most are going with the drop-in route. I myself am not really even concerned with imaging and soundstage too much in the vehicle. It's just a poor environment to begin with, and I don't really much care whether I "feel" like I'm at a concert in my vehicle. Just pointless to me. However, if I were to actually build something as far as competition is concerned, I would focus most of my energy on component placement first, before using any time alignment or EQ. The processing is a bandaid and not the cure-all. While it may compensate for a majority of the problems, you're still better off starting with a firm foundation.
  17. Smart man. I just had an interesting discussion with a very intelligent industry person on how marketing is taking over. Flakko: They LOOK impressive, now tell us how they perform.
  18. I've seen the mini ANLs up to 250 amps.
  19. Here's the deal. Within this small internet community, I'm including many forums here, there has been been many relationships between eD and many well known, knowledgeable, and intelligent members of the car audio society. Along with that relationship came knowledge in eD and their products and business practices. Many people have had problems with their products and still do, and these certain circumstances were known by many people for long periods of time. A certain someone screwed over the wrong people and the floodgates were opened on all the "secrets." Research can lead you to the rest. eD provides a good product for the "budget minded." That's their goal and who they cater to, for the most part. If that's what you want, fine. If you're happy with it, that's all that matters.
  20. Wish me luck whomever may be out there.
