Starsky, is that you? DISTORTION WILL KILL SPEAKERS! And. . . The Starsky & Hutch Torino was a 71-2. Totally different bodystyles. You ever see the old Nascar Talladegas? That's how my Torino looked.

EFFENDI's Worklog/Show-Off Pics Thread
2 questions: 1. Are the tweets mounted in a pod or are you making something for them? 2. Have you listened to the subs yet? I had a similar application in an old T-bird with them firing up through the rear deck like that and had MAJOR cancellation issues. It sucked cuz I designed the box to fit like that and had to make a different one for rear firing.

The Stereo Integrity Cobra.
So tempting just for the price alone, but I have my eyes on something far fetched. Just awaiting a review as there are some discrepancies with some measurements.

The Stereo Integrity Cobra.
I had planars in my last install so the ribbons were just the next step. So far, plans are to mount them in custom pods on the door corner up top, but I did not realize how large they are. I am going to have some custom faceplates made up about 3" in diameter and see how those will do. Dispersion wise, I think they'll do fine in the small confines of my interior. As for the basket, well, it's getting changed again. Amps may too. I simply won't need the power I thought I would for the ribbons, so I'm looking for a compact 2 channel that I can conceal behind a panel, then go for 2 larger amps for the remaining 3 drivers.

My very first car was a 69 Torino GT. The trunk alone was about 30 cubes. It was HUGE!

I didn't realize how massive these things are! Now on to find a good 15-20WPC amp for them.

How thick is your baffle? Those must be what 3" screws?

There is no Best Speaker(s). With that said, why don't you give us some more details on what type you are looking for or what application you are trying to fill.

Tossed salad anyone? What type of dressing would you like with that? Sour chocolate mousse you say.

Welcome to the IHoP
Man, I sit around all day waiting for the postman to bring my ribbons. I got hungry and went around the corner to get something to eat and the bastard dropped the mail off and DIPPED! Left me one of those stupid pickup things and now I have to wait til tomorrow. Dammit.

si d2 15 proto
What should I use to seal the joints in the box if I make one myself? If your cuts are straight, you won't need any sealant. The woodglue should be enough. If you are worried about it, just run some silicone along the interior and let it cure.
