THESE THINGS ARE HUGE! If you're looking for something with a small footprint, these are not it. Very visually appealing, and some awesome features. I'll elaborate more later.
  14. Quarts are here!
  15. Large case GM. Don't know if it'll fit the F-body. Bought it for my Cutlass(87 SUpreme w/ 307 olds), but I sold that.
  16. I gotta get rid of this alt. Too bad I can't use it on the Cobra.
  17. Free?
  18. It's German for clip. I'm interested to see if mine is like this when it arrives. Started deadening where the enclosure will be today. Talk about a pain in the ass removing the seatbelts. Nick, sorry for the misfortune. Your mother is lucky to have you as an asset.
  19. i sent paypal for the vrz 2.200 and 2.400 yesterday as well. Don't forget to shoot me an email on the prices and all contact info. [email protected] Thanks!
  20. What else is going to go wrong today?
  21. So the FedEx man pulls up. I get all excited cuz he's supposed to have the JBL. No amp. He picks up the 13W7 for delivery and drops it out the back of the truck. Nice. No visible damage, but man does this suck. I can't very well ship something that I know may be broken. Take it into the local JL dealer and everything checks out okay. Still not secure so I refunded the guy his money. Now I'm worried about the Quarts. They are supposed to arrive today and I hope there's nothing wrong with them.
  22. I saw that the day after I ordered. If it's any consolation, Crutchfield jacked the price up $50 on the 4200 the next day too. I think I came out well.
  23. What do you know? I was wondering where you've been. The JBL is supposed to arrive today.
  24. Let's see. First attemp was the BBK longtubes, offroad H, and the Magflows. I hate Magnaflows. My car sounded like one of those redneck 4x4s with the cherry bombs. Needless to say, I drove an hour and a half to the nearest speed shop and got a Flowmaster kit 2 days later. NExt up was the Bassani kit. Off road X pipe with their Catback. Don't remember what exact kit it was, but the car sounded raspy and had too high a pitch. Had to go. Back to the Flows. Then we had Borla. The XR1 kit. This was nice and mellow, but once opened up, it sounded too similar to the Bassani. Back to the Flows. Next up, I tried the Bassani X and MAC produmps. This was better, but I hate the interior resonance of dumps. Switched the X for the H and it was deeper, but still too raspy. A dumped chambered muffler should just bee a DEEP grunt. Not here. Back to the Flows. Still discouraged, I tried the Spintech system. I'll leave that one alone. Don't ever waste your money here. Back to the Flows. Finally, I decided to try the Edelbrock. Well, this was actually nice and deep with considerable grunt at idle. Open up the throttle and the glass packing clearly becomes evident in the muffler. Back to the Flows. You can see I always went back to what I liked best. I wanted something different because everyone has Flowmasters on Mustangs. I now know why. After 3 months and $3K+ spent just on exhaust systems, I am proud to say that the Flowmasters won. And they were the cheapest kit of the bunch coming in at $379. Not too mention, they are the easiest kit to install and had the best polished tailpipes.
