  1. Long as you got a good CLEAN seal, all will be well.
  2. Ebay is just full of the old CVs.
  3. No, they don't. Just installation accessories and nothing more. They was a big article about it with Fishman in one of the large magazine publications.
  4. Competition seems to be getting all political these days.
  5. WTF are you gonna do with that???!!!

  7. That is BEAUTIFUL work my friend. You are indeed a master!!!!!
  8. Sounds to me you've stripped the wood. Only thing to do now is use larger coarser screws which will inevitably do the same thing, or use T-nuts, which you should've done in the first place.
  9. so.

    WERD! eh?
  10. Talk to Josh about the x-overs, or Nick Lemmons. Nick's got some awesome Home stuff. Only porblem I'm having with 5.1 or any of the other multispeaker digitally encoded discs is that of the movies I watch there's maybe 10% that are actually recorded in 5.1 or above. I don't know how many times I've watched a movie to realize that no, my receiver is not screwed up, the movie was not recorded in 5, 6, or 7.1.2.3, whatever.
  11. so.

so. SO! S'up?! Nuttin. Really?! Yup. By yourself? Right now. What about later? Nuttin. By yourself? NOPE! What's her name? Nuttin. WOW! Yup. IS she hot? Yup. Koo. WERD! Where'd you find her? Somewhere. Really? YUP. What's she do? Nuttin. Like you? NOPE. How so? Creamy. And you? Chunky. Any Jelly? Petroleum. No grape? Nope. Hmm. Nuttin. Got a pic? Nope. Why not? Nuttin. You suck. Nuttin. What's she look like? Nuttin. Is she real. Yup. I don't believe you. So! Nuttin. WERD!
  13. Kent, hold off on attaching the mirror pieces. If you could somehow just cut them and fit them in the enclosure for shipping after verifying fitment, that would be great. I am going to have some mini logos etched on them as well as my baffle. I can tell you, this will be one sweet enclosure when I'm through with it. Expensive as well. Oh, I ordered quite a bit of the mirror as well, so if you'd like to keep what's lefty, then by all means. If not, just send it my way.
  14. AWESOME! Acrylic mirror will be en route to your location Monday.
  15. Awesome! I'm awaiting a response from the company on shipping the mirror to you.
  16. Okay, I've found myself lately to be more keen on the particular sound of paper cone drivers. I am wondering if anyone else feels this way or differently. Is it perhaps just the better driver or application, or does cone material in woofers/midbass/midrange have a noticable affect on the sound? It's clearly evident in a lot of tweeters between metal/soft domes or otherwise, but how do people feel on the woofer side? I'd appreciate any knowledgeable on the subject who could give some insights on which materials may have better sonic characteristics.

That place and SD are like nothing but a b*tch fest. Every thread turns to a flame war. It's always over something stupid too. Like car audio soap operas.
  18. On a Honda? With no boost? How often do you head that happening?
  19. I can't comment on the new ones, but I have used them quite a bit in the past. Rock solid reliability for the price and they do the power. BEing a part of DEI now, I don't see why the amps wouldn't be stout. Even DEI's lower level stuff seems to be up to the toughest tests. They look great IMO also.
  20. I've seen many more than that. Have seen some locally as well. As a matter of fact, the Claw I just bought had the same exact problem. It wasn't blown at all, however the coil was damaged from rubbing. It does seem to be getting more common though. Kinda hard to say as we really have no clue on the amount of drivers each manufacturer has out. It could actually be a tenth of percent which would be deemed normal in mass production. We're just hearing about it more.

There's a post everyday in the SI section. Mostly off-topic but a post none-the-less. Also, I love your sig on CA.com Funny stuff!
  22. Yes go smaller. I didn't want to go too big, and once I recalculated, the 12" will get me just under 2 cubes once the acrylic is installed. It won't get played loud anyways, but I'm just being on the cautious side. THe 15" depth was more around 2.3-4 cubes so it was a little larger. I kept thinking 15" driver. Duh! As for the acrylic, I'm sorry, I've dropped the ball on that one. I can't seem to have a day where I don't have a massive headache, so I've kinda just been lying around a lot. I'll get on that tonight and let you know what is up with shipping. Thanks again! And, oh, I'm in NO hurry, so don't go out of your way here. I am just now actually getting the driver in. Got it all disassembled and the basket is currently getting media blasted. It'll be a while until the actual driver itself will eb operational.
  23. I'm seeing a LOT of this lately with a LOT of drivers.
  24. Those are GREAT numbers. What all have you done too it? Upped the boost obviously. I see a large instercooler as well. Also, what RPMs were the peak ratings at?

Woke up this morning, eye was swollen shut. And damn if that ain't a pain. Opened up early in the afternoon, but I can steadily feel it closing again. And Kent, it was worse than just a flop. Imagine standing in the street with a rope tied around your ankles and then to a car. The car takes off, and BOOM face on the pavement quicker than you know what. I can still hear the sound my head made when it bounced. Kinda weird how those things stick with you.
