it will also cost more than i want to spend. also i am curious as to why an amp putting out 1200 watts at 4 ohms would be better than one at 1 ohm? also i am currently running a hifonics brutus 1000D and my electrical system is handling it perfectly. i am looking to upgrade because that hifonics just isn't pushing the magnum. Running at 4ohms will put less strain on the electrical system and the amp itself. Less heat=longer life and better performance. Your electrical system may well be just fine, but why put more strain on it than you have to?

You'd be better with one that produces 1200@4ohms, but that will be quite rare, pricey and probably A/B. Look on Ebay for a used MMATS D200 or D300HC. VERY efficient and compact. WIll not get hot either.

Watch your mouth SUCKA!!!! All the trunks will have the exact same dimensions from '94-'04. All are based on the Fox-4 platform most commonly known as the SN-95. I'm guessing that with it being a Cobra it has the Mach460 or 1000 audio system. Now this will present a problem as the amps and subs sit in an enclosure under the rear deck, and going in from the rear seat is going to be the easiest option. As for the wiring, the easiest solution would be to make a hole in the grommet used for the throttle cable in the firewall. It is made of rubber and you can use this to your advantage for some protection for the cable. Now, had this been an auto, which it's not (because all Cobras are manuals unless modified), it would have been even easier as Ford provides a plastic cover where the clutch cable would be. All steel baby. I'm not the driver, just a lousy crew member. Lord knows you couldn't PAY me to drive a GM. They make pretty good winter beaters though. And I have to give GM some props on the 3.8s.
