I think you'll be okay, but there's no real way to tell unless you actually do it. Don't worry about getting bashed by anyone around here for anything. That stuff just doesn't happen around here. Memphis is good stuff and I would feel 100% confident using the same equipment you've mentioned.

Beautiful setup you've got going on there! Man, those Etons look pretty beefy; how do they sound? I think you're pretty much on point, however, I think 3 sub-bass drivers would be a little overkill compared to the rest of your setup and the small interior of you car. But Boom away!!

I heard somewhere that Power Acoustic, if that's spelled right, is making the Edge series amps. Any truth to this? I've always had good luck with SS, except for their Class A line running a little hot on me.

As far as the cone material, don't worry, it will hold up fine. There are a ton of drivers out there with paper cones and they all work fine. As for final impedanc eload on the amp, you can also get 8 ohms if you wire all coils in series. Now when you're measuring the coils, you are actually measuring the DC resistance of the coil, not the impedance. Your impedance will rise and fall while you are playing the driver. You may wire all the coils in parallel, and the amp may very well never see a .5, 1, or even 2 ohm load while you are playing music. Here's a graph of the impedance plot of 2 D2s wired for 2 ohms in a 3 cube sealed enclosure. Notice the spike about 45Hz. It reaches about 8 ohms. Now, this is a just a computer simulation so don't take it to heart. It's just a demonstration for you.

You can pretty much use anything you can think of to take up some extra volume in the box. I wouldn't really use the foam, because it's porous and you'll never be 100% accurate with it, but then again, I don't really think you'll have to be that accurate. So I guess go for it.

I have seen a few people run quite a bit of power to the Mags. Nick rates them at 650, but I can recall him saying they willhandle 1K easily. You seem to be a little over the edge, but it may take it. I would suggest asking Nick directly as I have no personal experience with the drivers YET. You can always turn the gain down so you're not getting the full 1500, or go easy on your volume. I really think you'll be fine, but we'll let Nick decide.

In my enclosure building experiences, I have almost always gotten a lower F3 as well as F10 as box volume has increased. Now this is only in general, but I have found when I go too large, that is when my F10 lowers and the F3 rises. But that's just my experience.

I for one am actually a big fan of the SPL subs. I had a pair of 160s in a 3 cube box running 200 watts to each driver and I was just amazed at their output in that small enclosure with so little power. I have been wanting another pair ever since.
