ok I think I am going with the vertical clam I have been pretty set on a clam and Im thinking the vertical will just be NUTTY! and then I can still get my lean on in the driver seat so im not making love to the steering wheel every where I go. Thanks for the input guys!
Howdy, I am going to be walling the astro soon and wanted to get some ideas of what type of walls there are and whats the benefits to them.I am walling it with 8 18" icons I havent set the amp in stone yet but I am contemplating between a DC 12k or a Soundigital 16k. once again the amp is up for debate. There will be a multiple alternator setup with battery bank to supply the amp or amps that are chosen. but with all that out of the way! Dimensions I have to go with are 48" tall 51" wide and up to 97" deep but I really dont need that deep lol! we still need to leave room for amps and batteries! I was throwing around the idea of a clamshell or maybe a 4th order just not set on anything yet! This will be a daily driver but I would still love to meter it at comps and put up some strong numbers! If I left out any information that is needed please feel free to shun me and I will respond with information needed
Thats right! REMIX! We are going ahead with a wall in the astro finally and doing 8 18" icons off a soundigital 12k in an inverted clamsell style box!

Shizz your car was so loud bro I have never heard a car echo like that when you shut the door. As far as loudest Im going to be bringing my meter so that will definetly be me! the electrical drop was at idle with no revving of the pedal. It held pretty strong at 12.6 for a song that is continually bumping with no breaks. we are going to send it in to singer and have him rebuild it to be stronger at idle. ill have some more videos of this beast up it was 2am and we were just anxious to see what it would do.
the piece with no chips or damage to it..... make sure its flat..... but no just as if you would mdf but cool thing is you dont need to predrill and its stronger and lighter. You got this
Why you say ugly setup? and no he has an excessive amperage 270 alternator with a juicebox 34 under the hood and 2 xs power 34 in the back with a batcap.
A little more tuning with ports and maybe adding a 5k to them in the near future. woofers are brand new and have playing time of the video that is it
I know sexy right lol. No one else has caught it. Its great for competing I just stand out of the van with the controller and presto PLAY!
I know of some sexy amps.with tiny footprints. Stetsom and the color scheme is quite sexy. I'll let my 5k go for a good price
The roof is fully deadened its alpha damp and I dont follow the full coverage rule. It doesn't rattle and thats what deadener is supposed to do. Now bracing may be a factor later on but gotta finish what I can first
I have the stetsom 5k2e 2 ohm version i could sell for a good price comes with warranty. I love my Brazil amps. They just want to be handle properly. And they work great. A lot of people have problems with them but as do people that use sundown. It's all about how you control your voltage stability. Imo stetsom ftw
