Could you try to wrap the one you have in tinfoil and make a mold of it for the other side? Yeah never came to thought. What size wiring do you have going to the amps and what size ground wire. Also how long of a ground. with proper size wiring 12.5 volts isnt acceptable at the amps.

?Upgrade stock battery to a agm type battery would help.

Get rid of the cap and do a battery. Caps just dont cut it.

Check the ohms of the coils , not the frst time the wrong coils got installed.Amp hour rating is the important rating for the bat. A good agm like xs-power makes a big difference.

Check the leads with a dmm and confirm you have 1 ohm coming from the sub.

I would use a AQ2200d For 2 of them.Each is rated at 1000rms plus.

I have run a sundown 100.4 and a aq2200 at the same time and the sundown runs much hotter than the sub amp.

Cds do sound better because they are not compressed mp3 files. But a cd will skip with loud bass 140db+ depending on the player. In compitition anything over 150 you have to use a cd player outside of the car that will prevent skipping.

I have also run 1500rms to a fully loaded ssd and had no problems.

Use dmm and see what your ohms are coming out of the box.

Fi Q fully loaded cheaper than xcon but will take your amps power. Also I have run a pair of ssd 15s with 1100rms to each and they never even got hot smell.
