I would take the battery to a established parts store not auto zone.

Did you check to see what the voltage dropped to?

Didn't get much of a review of the 15" did we? This is when you clippity clipped the coils and sold it to me as a "newly reconed" woofer. He sold me a 12 zcon and it had no issues.
