The frame can carry alot more current then two runs of 0 gauge.

You can disconnect the speeaker wire from he amp and use a double a battery. touch the leads to the each side of the battery at the same time the sub should move up or down.If it doesnt you need to remove the sub and check your wiring.

Use a dmm and check the coil to see if you have around 4 ohms. A zero reading would mean a broken wire or burned up coil. If it reads around four you have a amp issue. Alton beat me.

I have a mechman 300 amp on my 3.7 in a 2009 jeep liberty. The voltage drops at idle to the thirteens.

I would say it needs a smaller pulley.

Has it always been that low at idle with the H.O. alternator?

Does it go up near 14.4 when you rev it up.

Then I think you have amp issues.

If you use it as a daily driver don't do it ! You will need a great electircal system.

You don't appreciate what you can hear till your hearing is gone.

I think you have a wiring issue! Disconnect the sub or subs from the amp and see if it still does it.
