  1. Thanks for the replies, guys. Does anybody have any experience with DC's SP line? I could afford the 270 XP, but as you can imagine $450 is a lot better than $600 for a person with no income. I put a thread up on DC's page about the differences between the XP and SP lines, which can be found here. The only problem is the most obvious thing, the price... Let me know your opinions guys.
  2. I've narrowed my choice down to these choices. Mechman 270 DC Power 270 XP I was wondering if the extra 35-40 amps at idle is worth the extra $150. I'm only running one AQ2200D, and I don't have an endless pile of money. I'm almost certain what the responses will be, so I think I'm leaning towards the Mechman. Let me know!
  3. Thanks guys, I'll see if I can dig up my manual and have a look.
  4. Wait, will the final load be 1 or 2 ohms?
  5. I'm looking into getting a vehicle with a little more space for some more beat. Right now I have a dual 2 ohm Fi BTL N2 18 being run by an AQ2200D at 1 ohm. If I was to upgrade the system, I would probably get another AQ2200D and another dual 2 BTL. I realize that I could run 1 amp to each sub, but I was wondering if linking the amps made a cleaner signal. It is my understanding that 2 ohms @ 4400 watts is better than 1 ohm @ 2200 watts x 2. If I was to link the amps, how would I go about doing it? What would need to be input/output from either amp in order to run 4400 watts @ 2 ohms? Thanks guys! <--------------
  6. Thanks everybody! I don't think he was *quite* ready! Next step is to get the big 3 done (ran out of terminals; more on the way), sound deaden the whole thing, and possibly a new alt if the big 3 doesn't at least keep my voltage in the high 13s. I'll be hitting up SDS before too long!
  7. Thanks fellas!
  8. Interesting enclosure, nice work!
  9. Well fellas, I finally got the (functioning) AQ2200D in and playing. I told my dad to come check it out, but I don't think he was fully ready to hear it! He didn't see it coming! Watch in 720p!
  10. X2 on that one!
  11. You might want to watch out with responses like that. The all mighty M5 is always right.
  12. Thanks Kyle!
  13. I'd get another BL. If you have an AQ2200D and your current BL is 1 ohm, it's perfect. If I were you I'd rather not have to go through the trouble of selling your BL when I could just get another one. Just my $.02
  14. Got the amp back today and everything seems to be working fine! Unfortunately, they forgot to include the remote gain knob.. Damn it! I e-mailed Michael and asked for it back.
  15. In that case, either one would work fine, seeing as how you're going to be running the setup at a 2 ohm load. The MTX is rated at 1000w @ 2 ohms and the PA is rated @ 900w @ 2 ohms. 100 watts is not an audible difference, I'd say it's your choice whether or not to run too far above the sub's rms rating. *EDIT: I think I was wrong. It looks like the MTX puts out 1500 watts @ 2 ohms with sufficient electrical. In that case, I'd run the PA.
  16. That amp isn't bigger. It puts out 75 watts to 2 channels. "300 Watts" is the MAX power it will put out, not RMS.
  17. i think you ment 150 Yeah you caught me Whoops! *EDIT: I actually meant $50, but I had 1500 on my mind because of the name of the amp. I was on a phone call and couldn't concentrate haha
  18. Sundown SAZ-1500D.. If you're willing to spend an extra $50 for an excellent amp.
  19. Hmmmmmmmmmmm......... It will work, don't worry, their not gna send you a broken amp lol I'm prayin it does!! Let's hope
  20. Yep, they put it off because "nothing was wrong with the amp." Oh well I just hope it works this time..
  21. Stetsom V 5K2 E... If you're willing to pay the extra change. Wonder if he'll ever respond..? Hope he knows he needs an amp that puts out the power he wants @ 2 ohms.
  22. I can't wait till tomorrow... The suspense is killing me!
  23. Where'd you hear that?
  24. Glad everything was ok. When I first saw the title of this thread I thought your OS was acting up
  25. onebadmonte uploaded this picture and I thought it was hilarious. I'm not a huge fan of police officers.
