Help with 2 15" L7 box design
I guess I'll just revive this instead of starting a new topic. My buddy decided he didn't want to squeeze two 15s, so instead he's working with the one he has now. I've been configuring a new box design for his 15" Kicker L7, and this is what I have so far: The box will be going into the hatch of a Tiburon, with the ledge underneath the trunk lid (not visible through the window). As it sits currently, the box is 4.2 cubic feet and tuned to 31 hz with 60 sq. in. of port. My only issue is the port. I can't go standard slot since I'll have air trapped under that "ledge". I have this square-ish idea rollin' around in my head, but I didn't want the sub opening going under the sub along the back wall, so I figured I'd make it loop toward the ledge, but I still think air will get trapped back there. I'm going to play around with the size of the port, to see if I can get the length allow me to use the wall supporting the ledge. I'm just looking for feedback to see if I'm on the right track. Here's the port I was thinking about before determining I needed to alter it:

Help with 2 15" L7 box design
Thanks. I'm still messing with it right now. It's actually for a Tiburon, but the port is under the hatch (toward the rear of the car) so the subs can play off the rear window.

Help with 2 15" L7 box design
Thanks for that note on Sketchup. I figured I'd be squeezing everything I could out of this. Maybe I'm not using the Torres Calculator right, but 78" is just above 12/ft. I know that's not ideal, but isn't that a standard rule/guideline (12"-16"/cubic ft)? Since the port opening is slanted slightly, I figured those 2-3" of breathing room would be alright. I'll keep playing and tweak it, though.

Help with 2 15" L7 box design
I'm helping a friend build a box. I've done a few boxes in the past, but this one is different. This one isn't a rectangular box. He wants to, or needs to, use all of his trunk space to squeeze in 2 15" Kicker L7s. The box I designed is 6.11 cubic feet after displacement tuned to 33 hz with ~78 square inches of port. It will be braced and double baffled with 3/4" MDF. My only worry is the port being cut off by the roof of the trunk, but it's got a couple inches to breathe, so it should be fine, right? Criticism is welcome! Thanks!

Camera Recommendations
I'm sure I'll be looking at those. Just figured I'd ask here before heading to best buy and hearing their bias, nothing against them, though! Anything I should consider in a camera regarding specs for adequate videos and good zoom. I tend to not buy the best seats at concerts/sporting events, so zoom is important to me, too.

Camera Recommendations
My 18th birthday is tomorrow and my parents have been wondering what I'd like to get. I know absolutely nothing about cameras, but I know what I want out of one. I'd like it to have a good microphone and video capture, but I'd also like it to fit in my glove box. I don't need to change lenses or flashes. The things I see it being used for are taking pictures of sunsets, stars, and simple still images, but also recording videos of my system, friends, and maybe some for school projects. I don't think I need a legitimate video camera. I currently have an older Olympus Stylus 710. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I don't know what to do.
Sorry to hear. Find a job and friends, a lady ain't a necessity, but if one comes along.. I love my job a McDonald's (oldest manager is 23ish, so it's chill), and it can be fun. I like bein' on my feet and socializing with people in a relatively loud atmosphere. It's made me reconsider a business major. Best of wishes, man, g'luck.

You're fine. I've got two friends with brand new civics and they didn't want to touch their HU. They both used LOCs and it sounds as expected.

Does the template really matter as long as it's in the inches, millimeters, etc.?

You can get it for free. There's a plan. One question. Do you work in SketchUp on a laptop or desktop? I know it's compatible on both, I've worked with it before on both, and I found the desktop to be easier. I have only done desktop, I can't imagine how frustrating it would be on a laptop with no mouse. I'm not a pro at it by any means but my roommate at Buckeye Boys State had it on his laptop. It's definitely more time consuming, so I'll need a mouse with my laptop.

Not made in China
Indeed, but at the rate our youth is being lazy and our pathetic governments attempt to fix it by spending and printing money we are well on our way to be a second world country that will actually excel in production. As this continues you will start to see more completely made in the USA products which in reality shouldn't happen, but people here are so pucking lazy it will Well said.
