Mach 5 Audio Logo Competition
Official Mach 5 Audio Logo Competition Many folks were asking when a Mach 5 Audio logo was going to be produced. Since graphics design is certainly not one of my strong points it was suggested to me that I leave it you all to come up with ideas. So with that, here are the contest rules: * The logo can contain the words 'Mach 5 Audio' or have a combination of letters and/or words that signify the Mach 5 Audio term * The logo can have a graphic * You can enter as many times as you like * Contest closing date is April 30, 2007 Simple enough... You can email me your logo ([email protected]) or send them via PM through this forum. The judge will be the Mach 5 'CEO', since she has a much better grasp of graphics than I do. The contest winner gets a MAW-15 sub. Best of luck, Mark

High Excursion Drivers
In my latest shipment I received two 'next-gen' 18" protos. The build quality on them is very good, and should make a few folks happy. The Xmax is 27mm but the T/S specs on them are a bit shy of my target, so I am not going to post them here until I speak to the OEM. Here are some shots: Best, Mark

Data Loss
Hi Folks, It doesn't appear that we are going to be getting the more recent data back, so if you want to repost your previous threads, links, or whatever you had, please do so. That way others will have access to them now and in the future. Best regards, Mark

MJ-18 4 Ohm Version
** Update ** A MJ-18 4 Ohm sample will be made up and measurements taken by the OEM in about a week. If all turns out well, and consensus here is positive, a run of them will be done and shipped here in about 7-8 weeks. Thanks, Mark

Mach 5 12"s ported test
a 600 watt RMS amp playing music should be fine on 1 of them... I haven't completed enough testing on the box sizes... but judging from its output in 2.25 cuft.. I think it would be fine.. may even help the sq out some... Loyd L. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've had good results in a 2.6 cube box tuned to 25Hz. Note however that you will be sacrificing power due to the MAW-12's limited excursion. You run out of excursion at about 225 watts. For SQ, a pair would be more than sufficient tho. Best, Mark

Mach 5 15"
4 Ohms nominal refers to the driver having a 4 Ohm impedance across most of its operating range. This is different from DC resistance which can measure anywhere from 1.8 to 3.5 Ohms. Hope this helps. Mark

SonoSub Using MJ-18
Around $55CA give or take a buck - about the same for the equivilency in MDF. But I was able to bang this off in an afternoon, whereas it would take a couple of days to build a box. Best, Mark
