  1. I dont even have a nice amp yet, "VA Audio 4500" but mann o mann, my car is falling apart just from that amp. I build the box sealed kinda big "3.2 cuft each sub" thinking about porting them and tuning to 33hz..leaving them 3.0cuft. THIS WAS ACTUALLY MY FIRST BOX I'VE EVER BUILT!!! WELL BOXES
  2. BTL would be the BEST!! but the BL and Fi Q are pretty decent also. This being a home application, I don't so much think you'll want a BTL disturbing the neighbors every time you watch a movie.

    Welcome to SSA!!!
  4. I havent owned the unit, so this is the only question I can answer. The LPF setting depends on your opinion. The range is usually between 60 and 80hz. I personally prefer 70hz, but youd need mids that could also get low enough to play 70hz safely it will only be for my subs. I'll try 64hz and see how they sound tomorrow. Thanks bro.
  5. Just upgraded my headunit now have the Pioneer DEH-P610BT it looks great, and I've always loved pioneer headunit. Anyone have this headunit? Opinions on the microphone and bluetooth? http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P610BT Can someone tell me which frequency I should have for my subs on the radio??? I was always told 80hz is good.
  6. OMG!!! I almost pooped my pants when I saw that amp!!!
  7. How does the low end sound on em? In a proper box, low end is most certainly not lacking for Icon's, especially the copper coils. Oh and I have the classic icons
  8. Lets just say on the the song put on" young jeezy I can get that very low note lol they sound terrific too me.
  9. I'll let u decide lol where you located. I'm around u of h. Downtown around Scott street if you want a demo.
  10. I live in Houston also bro. I have two icon 15s. Maybe I can give you a few tips. I went sealed.
  11. It sounds pretty nice!! Very clean bass, and gets loud in decent size boxes.
  12. You won't be upset if you go the route of SSA Icons. I previously had 2 15 P3s. In the future will be upgrading subs to xcons, maybe even those ridiculous zcons lol (pretty sure I'm gonna have to build in car)
  13. It sounds pretty loud, didn't get the chance too see full potential yet tho. Their only getting roughly 600rms each. It's rocking my car!!! Putting 1 crescendo super tweeter back in their, but gonna do a custom mount under AC area. But, I almost broke my passenger side power window motor lol, like it would come back. Will be meeting up with my homie vic (y'all can look him up on YouTube vikes93) so we can do a couple demo's.

KnuKonceptz KnuKoncept 16gauge wire for kenwood 5-ways Cadence Fuse Holder 200amp fuse MICKEY DEEZ IN THE TRUNK One layer of peel n seal!! Will be installing to more layers!! 16. Uploading pics now of build!! Will do a demo video tomorrow!!! SAW DUSt ON ICON UPLOADING REST OF PICS TOMORROW AND VIDEO OF THE FLEX. You guys let me know if it's the loudest car trunk with real trunk!!!
  17. Massive audio amp gave me problems.. Heated knu koncept fire. So I have that amp under my bed collecting dust. I have now temporarily a MA 4500 amp. On one Ssa 15 icon, and I can say that it is really pushing that sub!! Getting a nice flex with just one. Building other sub box tomorrow. Oh and peal n seal is freaking awesome. I just have one layout on trunck lid, and theirs zero vibration!! Will be doing another layer in wheel well, and double trunk lid when I install the other Ssa icon. My setup should be complete just in time for Mardi GRAS weekend!!! Hell YEaHH!!!
  18. Its good to allow for 100A of current for every 1,000W of power you plan to run. Keep in mind the most cars will need about 50A to power the vehicle's electronics, so for anything over 1,500W-2,000W, we would recommend a 250A alternator. In many occasions more than one alternator may be required to continuously power a stereo at 14V at full volume. Very good info!! But in my case, not to topic jack or anything. I have an grand prix, running 2 SSA Icon 15 drivers off an Massive Audio 3k rms. I don't have enough room for multiple alts. I currently have factory alt. Looking to get an custom built alt for about 250-300 amps!! Also I have just 1 kinetik, upgrading to a couple XS Batteries.
