  1. Been slacking... I'll get back on eventually !
  2. We got it up to 68 Hz but still did 149.9 dB again -- we have a few more ideas for tomorrow. Need to seal up the port plate (I gained a bunch doing this in my dual 8" box) and a few other things: * Just duct tape sealing it right now.
  3. So Sean is up with his CRX and we are doing some testing... we hit a brick wall last time at 149.0 dB using a 4" aero-port. So... Sean and I got the idea to try a 6" aero-port for the single 8" woofer! The result is 149.9 dB so far. Peak is 66 Hz in the kick... the CRX normally peaks at 68 Hz so we are going to work on re-tuning to break the 150 outlaw. Fun stuff We have as much port area as cone are now *laughs*
  4. They accept 8 "AWG standard" wire -- but not car audio stranded 8 awg. You can get the highly stranded 12 awg car audio wire in there no problem -- bigger sizes need trimmed.
  5. I guess I never did measure the specs... so I did it today : RE: 3.55 ohms FS: 45.8 Hz Qes: 0.366 Qms: 6.44 Qts: 0.346 Le: 3.25 mH Vas: 5.97 L BL: 23.69 N/A Cms: 59.92 uM/N Mms: 200g
  6. I played it for a bit longer than the video and it was fine -- but I still don't suggest a 1500D @ 1 ohm on an SA series woofer
  7. I should have my prototype in hand next week... likely by Wednesday or so. Then I'll get some pictures of it put together as a 15 before I drop it in my Jeep!
  8. Okay guys - more news ! Just got off the phone. This is the deal... they were in a container with something else that was in violation of customs regulations... so they held the whole container up rather than unloading all the other stuff in it. I wasn't told that this was the reason for delay until yesterday after my previous update. Would have been nice for the customs people to have been more up front rather than promising dates and missing them. ANYWAY... they released everything now and I am expecting them Monday - Tuesday. Will take a few days to ship them all out... so they should all be shipped by Friday next week.
  9. I have a used 1500D thread in the forum.
  10. Special Holiday pricing on the SAZ-1500D and SAZ-2000D models available until January 8th, 2010 -- or while supplies last ! SAZ-1500D @ $425 each SAZ-2000D @ $525 each Shipped in continental 48 states ! To order contact your favorite Sundown Audio dealer OR send me a Paypal to [email protected] This sale is for USA ONLY.
  11. I still have some -- I actually got more in from trade-ins so supply is healthy
  12. Xmax is very important for low-end extension, yes.
  13. They will not be in today... I raised some hell with them on the phone as the amps have been sitting in the USA since the 20th... but for some reason they can't get together and send them to me.
  14. Tough call really...
  15. It is very possible.
  16. Duct tape works well to seal holes and hole aero-ports together (especially if you plan to take them apart later).
  17. http://www.facebook.com/#/video/video.php?v=1258050525783&ref=mf
  18. 4x50 @ 4 ohms -- bridged is like 2 ohm stereo operation in power.
  19. I think you are thinking too hard I'd adjust it by ear to match the mids.
  20. 12 awg is plenty big and likely oversized for your application... 14 awg would still be fine.
  21. The amps are not regulated.
  22. It is a different board, build house, parts, casing, all that.
  23. You can expect 10-15% extra, on average, from the SAX multi-channels.
  24. I expect MSRP to be under $299 based on early estimates... but I cannot estimate actual pricing of a pre-order or regular MAP yet.
