I think 8x 1500s is still a great plan for your setup Yah, these have dual inputs - the 3500D is the largest single input we will be making.

I was planning to do it at the end of the year or early next year... but if we have enough interest to get the first run pretty much sold I may move it up.

It's not even that big Just wider than the 3500D - length is almost identical!

So... who would do it ? Lets say if this amp was a full 1 dB louder than even the SAZ-3500D on 12v @ 1 ohm... and the 3500D was already 1 dB louder than the 3000D. Maybe it's already been in testing for a while So we are talking ~2dB gain from the SAZ-3000D on this bad boy. Pre-Order price would be around $1200 or so shipped. Lets see a show of hands.

It's most likely a knob on the crossover board - probably the gain pot on CH 3 since touching it causes a problem.

I believe you sent it to dB-R for repair ? We won't know what happened with it until he is done working on it. Occasionally with all models something will happen that testing didn't pick up - as we can't test every amp for two days

Don't concern yourself with impedance curves "daily" -- match up a 1500-watt amp with a 1500-watt sub and you are good Music is not the same as playing one sine wave after the other either... so impedance graphs don't tell you what is going on with music : http://www.audiograph.se/subpages/technica...odamplifier.htm

Testing from the factory indicates 5800 @ 1 ohm resistive @ 2% THD on 18v. So my testing is actually pretty close to what the factory tested on a test load.

You can run two sealed in 2 cubes.

It would be at 2 ohms so it would be just a little bit too much - you could *easily* run two with a 1500D.
