Yes - I am sure it would be very close in SPL. I will post test results when I get them. The important thing with the long coil is that it is more reliable for very high power like I have available in my setup (two 3000Ds).

Just make it as short as possible - if using dual 8 gauge it could be fairly long without detrimental effect.
