  1. Big thanks for that list - I need to get it up on my site!
  2. So, whichever amp gets a certain RCA produces more power ?
  3. Indeed... we hope to have some in the first quarter of 2009.
  4. Before the 21st - as they are expected to arrive then.
  5. Indeed, a 140 should be NO problem AT ALL.
  6. Quite big for a Nightshade 12 - mechanical power handling will be decreased. My Team Member, Derek Jackson, that won his class in MECA with two 12s pulling 152.0 dB used 1.5 cubes each.
  7. Kinda ? Any more questions ?
  8. We only tested it with five spiders since it was intended to play music with 6000 watts on hand I am sure with the "lower" power of "only" 6kw it would have been louder with softer spiders for burps.
  9. 0.6 cubes + port displacement
  10. I am sure you can find photos on DIYMA somewhere.
  11. It is pretty comparable to a Q - would be the closest in my line to the Q.
  12. Glad they are doing so well for you Jason!
  13. Trust me guys... you do not need much power at all on these PA tweeters to be BRUTAL beyond all reason.
  14. *laughs Agreed Jim - I talked to him about possibly switching to another SAX-100.2 for his sub.
  15. http://www.mecacaraudio.com/eventresults.aspx?eventid=768 Modex Place Competitor State Team Score 1 Dave Edwards VA Hybrids 83.5 --- Dave is running an SAX-100.2 on his tweeters and an SAZ-1500D on his subwoofer!
  16. All available amps are listed. To be honest I have never seen an SAZ-1500D sell for 200 dollars in any condition.
  17. They are different in every way possible. Different baskets, cones, surrounds, spiders, coil, magnets, top plates, back plates, etc. I do not know if anyone has tested them drop-in SPL.
  18. One more thought to add... the Monster would take this sort of power continuously and the stock Nightshade for burps only - so it is not quite apples to apples!
  19. Stock 15" D2 Nightshade - Short Coil, Stock Cooling, 3 spiders Power = 2x SAZ-3000Ds strapped @ 1 ohm (internal strapping) I matched my best score with the "Monster" design. This confirms my theory that the Monster design *NEEDED* a ton of power to get loud - which confirms my decision to move with the NS-X first and continue work on the Monster design to increase efficiency AND power handling. I tried turning up the head unit more but did not gain any more SPL - just got the sub hotter!
  20. Got it figured out
  21. Why not just strap them ?
  22. You will not draw 90 amps from the amp with your setup - so you should be good to go.
  23. You need more port area. About 12 in^2 per cubic foot... so for a 5 cubic foot box plan on 60 in^2 of port area. The 15" version of the Nightshade actually does decent sealed - 80INCHES did it and still pulled 142 dB with one of them.
  24. Keeping this up top.
