Don't concern yourself with box rise for a daily application. Wire it to a 1 ohm load and you are set.

They are about the same power wise... the 100.2 was already doing well over 125 per channel. Just time for a part number change as it was obscenely under-rated, the small number scared some people away.

These are blow-out items and sold with no warranty beyond a no DOA guarantee. I can built re-cones for them for a while as I did get about 25 sets of extra parts! They are pretty tough with a 2.5" diameter flat coil, though Nice sounding drivers.

Also look for an intermittent short in your power wire.

I have not tried any tricks with the amps for either setup - just basic testing. Since the Monster is to be re-designed I will wait until we get the next version in to test four 3000s

It is an "SQL" driver (sorry Jim!) - it sounds quite good and is very versatile for sealed / ported enclosures. I expect most customers would be very pleased with the SQ of the driver. LoL - yah, its the same Jeep. Going from six amps to three really cuts down the wiring mess!
