We upgraded anything that wasn't perfect on the first run ----- T/S Specs: Re = 3.37 ohms (4 ohm nominal) Fs = 34.9 hz Qes = 0.5323 Qms = 6.93 Qts = 0.4943 Vas = 7.6 L BL = 13.3 N/A Mms = 127.7 grams Cms = 162 um/N Xmax = 12mm one-way linear (70% BL method) Rated RMS Power = 200 watts Depth = 4.25" OD w/ gasket = 8 5/16" Cut Out = 7" Sealed Box: 0.280 ft^3 w/ F3 of 50 Hz (Qtc = 0.707) Ported Box: 0.60 ft^3 tuned to 30 Hz F3 of 25 Hz ----- SQ Review by "nismos14" on DIYMA: Initially I was very impressed with the tonality and the output. It played various notes with authority. It's meant to be crossed (at least in my application) at 80 hz, anything higher and I recieved a lil breakup in the output. I am reallllly enjoying these subs with all kinds of music, rock/rap/country. They are doing a great job! SQ: 8 Power handling: 9 LFE: 10 Output: 9 Build Quality: 10 Total: 46 These are just preliminary numbers, I will post more when I am done with a few weeks of listening time. They are DEFINATELY a competitor to the CMASS in overall sound and output! I am VERY impressed, especially at this price point. ----- * New taller surround / new style cone with slightly recessed dust cap * Tied down tinsel leads - no slapping! * Side view - same as before * Rear view - same as before w/ pole vent and gap venting

Prototype Big Boy SPL Motor
We aren't sure yet. Its going to take alot of work to move these to a 4" coil... new basket, spiders, cones, etc.
-
nightshade enclosure
They don't need alot of room - 2.5 cubes would be acceptable, most people use 3 cubes.

Multiple Sundown 3000
Technically you won't lower the voltage - in parallel circuits the voltage is the same. Have never had any issues splitting them to run two strapped pairs

Z15 Prototype Testing
Z series is more of a flexible sealed / ported "good sounding" type driver - Qts and Fs specifications are similar to SI Mag v.3 (old version), similar internal motor geometry too X series will be my sealed box SQ style driver - I took a different direction from earlier prototypes here If you want a sealed SQ woofer right now I would suggest the SI Mag v.4

Z15 Prototype Testing
I would try it but they won't fit in my box. I need to add a third layer to the top so the magnet will not hit my port The "monster" sub is about 1" shallower than the Nightshade so it fits, as is the Z series.

Prototype Big Boy SPL Motor
We've been testing on it hard We will likely move this design to a 4" coil for production - so that pushes it back a bit. I am happy with it but want even more from it.

Haha, no Using the same letters as the amps... I will have E, X, and Z series woofers when the lines fill out. These are great sounding drivers too Dizzle, not just SPL No ''S'' or ''A'' Actually... I am working on an "SA" series Just not going to go into too many details since I don't have any ETAs on this stuff yet.

Z15 Prototype Testing
Same box / setup as we test the Monster sub with - but we have the amps at 2 ohms each vs. 1/2 ohm each.

duty cycle
Nobody has thermal issues with 1500s that I'm aware of... especially not with the new heat-sinks.

Z15 Prototype Testing
We did 148.6 on the first run but we didn't take a picture... got hot after a couple of burps so it went down a hair We have four 1500Ds @ 2 ohms each on it, no clue on actual power after rise - but I think it would actually sustain more on a burp. Not bad for my upcoming 1000-watt rated woofer, huh ?
