  1. Got another call this morning - apparently by tomorrow they meant tomorrow from today (10-9-08) *laughs* So... hopefully I get them tomorrow this time
  2. I won't be able to make it this year.
  3. Nightshades can be had with a few options: 1) More spiders (stock is three, up to five available) 2) Cooling option (this has to be sent to us to implement) 3) Longer coil (if your subs have the short coil, stock models)
  4. If there is an obvious defect we will try to take care of you within a reasonable time frame - but it is very difficult to tell what people do to woofers over time so transferring the warranty is a headache. It is important to note that many competition woofers come with no warranty at all - eg: FI BTL, so we believe is is quite fair to have a warranty to the original purchaser only. They also do not offer a transferable warranty on speakers - I am just using Fi as an example to show it's industry standard practice. You will be hard pressed to find many companies that transfer warranties on anything - and we have and still do so on amplifiers, just not on loudspeakers / woofers. You can still buy re-cones and parts if you need them.
  5. Full Warranty Text Here: http://www.sundownaudio.com/warranty.html Also worth noting: "Warranty on subwoofers and loudspeakers is NOT transferrable." This went into effect with new warranty policies. --------- A common question - "If I don't have an invoice is a printed shopping cart receipt okay?" Yes it is. If you buy from SSA or another authorized online dealer a printed shopping cart receipt will work as long as it is dated, had the item listed, and shows that you were in fact on the web-site of the authorized dealer in question.
  6. Glad you are pleased with your purchases The 1200D really does run quite cool. When we tested the prototype it was in a MUCH thinner and lighter heat-sink and still didn't get very hot - we specially tooled this case for even cooler operation!
  7. Tried moving to 8 awg speaker wire. Either the Jeep likes hot temperatures (cool today) or it doesn't like 8 awg wire - 151.4 was the best today.
  8. Deadener would cost more than the vehicle *laughs*
  9. Until they show up at my door I am talking with my dealers about potentially offering up an intro sale w/ the pre-sale price as well for those that missed the pre-sale.
  10. Big 3 is as follows: 1) Alternator to battery + Cable 2) Battery to Chassis - Cable 3) Engine Block to Chassis - Cable I usually run another cable engine block to battery as well.
  11. Hmmmm. Well, once I get more in e-mail me and we will swap yours out if you need it. Should work as per db-r's review: http://www.db-r.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1219867818 "The wired remote control is fairly linear in operation and when you turn it all the way down, it really turns it all the way down. It seems to work as the remotes do with the SAZ line, it backs down your gain won't let you go over whatever you set your gain to, but will allow you to back it down as you turn the knob on the remote from Max down to Min. It doesn't look exactly like the remotes for the SAZ line but does have a blue LED so it will match when lit up."
  12. Just got a call... these *may* be here tomorrow.
  13. Maybe you are thinking of the 8-layer round coil - it was also aluminum. I have it in mind... but based on how well the 12-layer does, even daily, I may not need any other coil options.
  14. I am debating whether to offer the 8-layer round coil at all as the 12-layer has been doing so well day to day. So... if that is the case I will likely offer the option of D1 or D2 (maybe a 0.7 for SPL) and the number of spiders. The cooling method in the monster sub is built into the motor and cannot be taken out, so that is standard.
  15. Testing is going well The monster sub continues to show great promise!
  16. Oh yah... for those that missed the other thread. Did two back to back bass-race runs on the sub over the weekend with all four 1500s @ the burp volume Video of one of the runs:
  17. * Coil still looks mint condition * Triple joint and tinsels leads also looking brand new. Brandon got a little carried away with the spider glue, will be much neater in production.
  18. SAE-1200Ds were just released from customs - so they should be on a truck headed to me soon!
  19. It is a Nightshade in his icon photo.
  20. Yes you did!
  21. 4x SAZ-1500D wired to 0.57 DCR each amplifier.
  22. The 1200D remote is different, you are using the specific 1200D remote, right ? As for the 100.2 remote gain - it will only work in LPF mode. If it is on your component speakers it will do nothing. Most of the effect is in the first 1/3 turn on the knob as well - may not be very noticeable unless you are driving a woofer in LPF mode.
  23. Trust me... I am working as fast as I can on the 2000D, but the credit markets are AWFUL right now so it makes bringing new products to the market a bit difficult.
  24. Close call! Glad to hear you are safe
