If the MT coil fits then most likely my coil will fit.

MT is 8 layer. I did not think the SX was an 8-layer as well.

Is the SX a 4-layer ? I didn't think it was an 8-layer like the MT. Maybe it is, I'm not sure.

IMO - you get what you pay for on these Powermasters. We have several that are a few years old and have seen HEAVY use in SPL and still hold charge like new in Brandon's Bronco. If you really want the best battery in this form factor the D3100 is it. If you absolutely cannot afford the D3100 a cheap alternative that is still pretty good is the DEKA Intimidator 9A31.
  5. We made sure there was plenty of stock before opening the sale

Powermaster is VERY accurate with their ratings, many other companies are putting out specs without listing conditions or listing the specs inaccurately: http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/suit.pdf You really won't get a better AGM battery in the same size as a D3100.
  7. We have not played with box position AT ALL yet We just centered the box and started metering. I am going down my "to-do" list one thing at a time to see how far we can take it!
  8. They are very sexy looking amps, IMO anyway
  9. Thanks guys I am glad that my hard work is paying of with happy customers!
  10. The SAX-100.2 looks like as shown on the site: http://www.sundownaudio.com/1002.html The casing on all SAX and SAZ amps is this style, SAE amps are different.
  11. Oh... we did screw up a little bit on the scientific method here. We changed out the CD player to one with an iPod interface so it wouldn't skip so the extra baffle thickness is not the only variable we changed. So, don't assume adding a second baffle will gain you 6 tenths
  12. So far. I am testing what I gain by adding layers and keeping notes on it as an experiment. I added a second baffle to the top layer last night and... 150.1 dB today!
  13. Some of it has resin - the top is different, though, it is birch.
  14. Its a 3000d. Also the top is 2 layers of MDF. SAZ-3000D "B" has some upgrades for vibration resistance - is yours brand new ? In any event... double baffle is pushing it a bit for a 3000D. You have a long board with HEAVY transformers - add to that extra vibrations and you may have a problem at some point. If you really MUST mount it to the box make a plate for a third layer where it is to be mounted and use rubber grommets for feet.
  15. Chris, Glad you are okay! Best of luck getting back up and running swiftly.
  16. It is worth a shot - next time she is free to hang out we'll try it!
  17. Which revision 1500D is it ? If it says "SAZ-1500DC" on it they are more resistant to vibration. Rubber feet are a great idea regardless. I wouldn't do it at all unless the baffle is at least double thick - we triple baffled Brandon's box on the face where we mounted the amps.
  18. Nice looking amp
  19. Oh yah - I made a second baffle for the top of the box tonight. We'll see if that gained tomorrow.
  20. I am peaking @ 53 Hz - which has not changed from the old box to the new box.
  21. Yep. Holding the burps for 8 seconds (full track duration) at a time to stress test it.
  22. I may get restless tonight and double baffle the top plate and see what happens
  23. Going well so far Our score is pretty in-consistent at his point, though -- it varies from 148.5 to 149.5 dB. Of course... we did test in the morning vs. again just now and it was much hotter outside.
  24. We have four 1500s on it.
