  1. If you have a signal of 6 volts you should have the gain all the way down - so yes, if you have 50% more than that your gain should not move from all the way down. Be careful with a line driver.
  2. Contact the owner for any questions on customized boxes, tuning, etc.
  3. Wow, that is a big trophy!
  4. Little FYI for those looking for really awesome fiberglass enclosures for, IMO, incredibly cheap prices: http://www.resinating-resin.com/products.htm I have the one that says "Sundown Audio" on it sitting at my shop... paint looks like auto paint - factory level quality. Very high quality enclosures. I know the owner personally, from before he moved back to Michigan. I'm sure he could even do them thicker for high SPL drivers (Nightshades) - although, it may not even be necessary... we'll be testing the box I got from him with Nightshades as soon as we get power wire in my Jeep.
  5. Only two brand new ones left.
  6. Day to day there really is no benefit to going to 1/2 ohm - your ears won't be able to tell, only the meter. The practice of running under rated impedance comes from SPL competition with a well known and consistent impedance rise now everyone wants to do it daily.

    That is pretty cool!
  8. Some really nice installs going on there in Trinidad!
  9. The way Brandon wants to weld up the roof he'll probably be illegal for most classes - demoing is what he really likes to do anyway.
  10. We actually just didn't have time to put the headliner back in after welding the roof and deadening it - of course, we have to do all that all over again now *laughs*
  11. Get em' while they are on pre-order!
  12. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42670 Distortion tests vs. IDQ 10v3
  13. I only have 7 left.
  14. I am not sure why it is some cables and not others - one would assume there is a standard, but there must not be. The center pin doesn't seem to make good contact on cables that don't work properly.
  15. You will have "0.75" ohms per amp, effectively 1 ohm per amp. You will have 3000 watts total rated power.
  16. 12 cubes after displacement w/ 169 in^2 port area tuned to 35 Hz.
  17. Just on amp fusing - he was in the higher MECA classes that don't run limited fusing - X1 and Modex 3 IIRC.
  18. Yep. Did 151 db @ the show, has done 151.9 dB in testing - at the show the driver had to be out of the vehicle.
  19. * Box is three layers thick on the front for amp mounting - but we are still trying to find another place to mount the amps. * Huge port! * Brandon's trophies from the show, and our lucky extra dBeez! * Damage to the roof from demoing at the show * Another view The deadener is also ripped all around the edges of the perimeter of the roof... little pieces were falling down all day!
  20. SAZ-1500Ds are fully stocked right now - I would be surprised if we sold out during the sale!
