Do you have to have all 4 channels of RCAs when running 100.4 bridged?
The outs are "powered" by ch 1+2 Just taking the RCA signal from 1+2 and also putting it into 3+4

Its taking the signal from channels 1+2 and putting it back into channels 3+4 - works fine, I've done it before.

UPS Ground.

That'll work. In the future I suggest getting rid of the AGU fuse - those are nothing but problems and may have lead to the low voltage demise of your amp.

Try something before you spend money... Use a small wire, maybe a speaker wire - and run + / - from the battery without a fuse. Just tap the power / ground terminals (and remote) and see if the amp powers on normally. Don't secure them with the screws, just lightly hold the wire on so you can pull it off if something weird happens. That would rule out the amp being damaged.

To be honest - your AGU fuse may be hurting your amp. I've seen them get damaged without blowing and drop several volts across the fuse... I put a DMM to one that had 12.8 on one side and 7 volts on the other side.

Another route for larger amp...
Basically... I feel like this design is a better amp from a design stand-point. If all goes well I may decide to do an even larger amp with the same build house as this amp - but I'm not going to get ahead of myself and come out with something more than twice as big as what I have now.

You need to use all four. You can actually loop in another RCA from the output back into CH 3+4 if you would rather.

It's quite possible that your fuse holder may be getting loosened up and your 80 amp fuse just won't hold any longer. Can you get an ANL holder and use a 100 or 150 amp fuse ?

To be clear... are you blowing the 80-amp AGU or the fuses in the amp ?

Another route for larger amp...
Is this amp mainly directed at those classes that only allow one amp? Two 3000Ds are going to burp higher than one of these 4kw's with a similar price point, correct? I'm not aiming it at a class - I plan to be offering what I consider to be a superior product to the customer. I'm really not into manipulating my line towards a given SPL class if that means making a product that I don't believe in 100%

Another route for larger amp...
Gotta remember that this 4kw will burp ~6500 watts.

Yep.

Another route for larger amp...
6k is with more than 1% THD (1% is more like 4500 watts), but is still under 10% THD. Of course, the THD doesn't really matter so much for a burp. --- denim, The SAZ-3000D would remain in the line - as the 4000-watt model will cost almost twice as much retail. I may use a different naming designation for it since it would be a completely different type of amplifier. This is all in development, but I like to get thoughts from customers well in advance.

IMHO... it's simply a better design, period. Same power level from 12v - 16v, more efficient, lower distortion, more elegant design. This model costs around the same as the previously discussed 5000D if you don't figure in the engineering costs and tooling costs to get started (which will be alot, but worth it, IMO) - in reality does more power @ 12.0 volts as well (literally 12 point zero volts = 4000 watts RMS @ 0.01% THD). I do not like the 5k and 7k based designs from my current build house... it's not really the cost to repair as much as they are almost impossible to repair, period. Don't get me wrong... they are fine amplifiers when working, but I don't like the difficulty of repair and this other design is simply superior.

Okay, these are the transistors used: Outputs: IXTQ42N25P x 8 pcs (IXYS Brand) - Total dissipation rated 2400 watts for 8 pcs Power Supply: IRF3205 x 12 pcs (IRF Brand) - Total dissipation rated 2400 watts for 12 pcs

Looking into something that I'd be proud to put the "Sundown Audio" name on... and I think I may be on to it. I've been speaking to an engineer about doing a bigger power amplifier the way I think it should be done. How does 4000 watts @ 1 ohm @ 0.01% THD anywhere from 12v to 16v sound ? At a soft clip (eg: burp) up to 6500 watts at anywhere from 12v to 16v. MSRP would be around $1999 to $2199 or so for this bad boy. Would be about 33.5" long give or take... and accept dual 1/0 inputs. I may be testing a prototype by the end of the year. Don't ask about the ETA for production - it's a big project requiring a large investment so it's hard to say.

SAZ-1500D POWER TESTING
Well, let me get more in detail. With one battery (basic primary) dropping to 11.4 volts @ 0.35: 1748 watts / 228 amps With two batteries (Eagle Picher added) dropping to 12.8 volts @ 0.35: 2245 watts / 270 amps With an NSB I assume it would be somewhere in between there... you should be able to get away with it for a burp.
