Sundown Entry Level Woofer
I am entertaining an intro sale on these for around 100 dollars shipped, who would be interested in that ? MSRP will be ~ $150 - 160 on these drivers.

Sundown Entry Level Woofer
Ricky, They are 6.25" deep. If you want 16 and/or Jerry really wants 24 of these I can bump up the production date.

Sundown Entry Level Woofer
Serious? If you want 24 I may start production sooner than planned. So how do you think 8 would hold up on 2 - 3000D's? IMO... not a good idea. Would hold up for short bursts of music and/or burps if mechanical travel was kept under control by the box, but not for extended periods of time. If you went 16 of them I'd be quite confident - and you could get 1 ohm per amp These won't be terribly expensive either.

UPS Arrived =D
Looks good If you examine the back plate that is why it was b-stock, has ring markings. I found in unacceptable for a-stock, so yes, I'm very picky!

My truck could do it as well if I blow up my power supplies too many times I blew them both up yesterday *laughs* Fixing my third one as well so I can use all three at once.

Sundown Entry Level Woofer
PS: Can't tell in the pic... but it has flat, tied down, tinsel leads - no slap. Also has drilled gap vents like the E8.

Sundown Entry Level Woofer
Few teaser pics of potential E12 candidate (other driver from OP will be re-named A12 when it is released): And, again, this would be black for production but chrome was easier for the prototype. Tested to 700 RMS for 5 minutes (don't try this at home) - will carry a rating around 300 RMS continuous. Has about 2" p-p raw throw and 16mm linear one-way by 70% BL method. This is the big brother to the E8 driver.
- hit a 147.1

Future Amplifiers
Nope. They are rated much more conservatively than CEA 2006 calls for, which is how I prefer to do ratings... not a fan of the 14.4 volt standard. what are you ratings at? i cant remember if its 12.6v or not SAX and SAZ are 12.8 volts SAE-1000D rated for 13.8 volts (as will the other SAE amps when they come), but still technically does 1000 @ 12.8 volts. Why the difference in where you rate the SAZ/SAX line and the SAE line? I'm just curious as it's no big deal, it is still better than the CEA 2006 ratings and they deliver more than stated power. It's an entry level line, hence the plan was for less conservative ratings - I've moved directions a bit with the SAE line since the original plan. The other SAE amps I'm working on now all easily do their power at 12.8 volts so I doubt there will be any need for the distinction at all and they'll all just be rated at 12.8 volts. Does my 1000D do rated power @ 12.8V? Just wondering, I have more than enough power for my use as it is, just a curiousity thing. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=9398 Yup.

SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4 high voltage?
14.7 volts. A big warning came in my Powermaster batteries not to charge over 14.7 volts, as an FYI.
-
SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4 high voltage?
~15 volts or so is the tops. Most "12v" car batteries won't be happy charged over 14.7 volts, at least not AGMs

SAZ 2000d to come after 5k?
the amp I'm looking most forward to, personally. Indeed... I want it too!
-
SAZ 2000d to come after 5k?
There will not, until the new models are out the 1000D is the current model - they will still be available for some time.

Kicker bass knob on my SAE-1000D?
I have no clue... the Kicker knob may not function the same way and I have not messed with their knobs.
