So... we shredded one of my MT 18s last night. Pics coming soon when my camera phone charges up We played the truck almost all night and finally one gave out!

Glad to hear the score. Putting 24 of the 12's in a clamshell in my van. That should be sick... these have surprising output for a small woofer. Some of the truck installs I have heard from the Titan truck guys with just the original SD-1s under seats really shocked me at the level of output they were getting from the little guys. It's a shame they didn't sell better because they really were a great speaker.

Don't feel bad -- we SHREDDED an MT 18 last night demoing the truck. Blew the whole center of the cone out and ripped the triple joint apart, the coil was sitting against the back plate -- I did manage to pull it out though!

Depends on your impedance rise characteristics -- they are a tough amp.

Something isn't quite right if the amps shuts down and doesn't blow a 100 amp fuse. Your actual nominal load is 1/2 ohm regardless of what your meter says -- it is probably just not accurate. How is your ground? Good? What type of RCAs? How are the knobs dialed in?

Not a good idea. Rob Eldridge did so with his 1500Ds for very short burps with a healthy impedance rise -- he is the only one I know of that did so with any of my products. I really do not suggest it to anyone.

It'll break in a bit more -- it has four spiders so it'll take a while.

Yep, thats about right -- with impedance rises figured in you can probably get away with that 100-amp fuse on music.
