New Heatsink
The SAX-100.4 will also get he new heat-sink in April. The 100.2 will lag behind a bit but will get it with time.

Alpine 9885 heat sink VERY hot
Pretty normal, especially if you are using it's internal amp.

Saz-2000d
His class prevents him from doing so. I had planned to have the 2000D out by then but rapidly rising demand has forced me to invest my capital in more inventory of existing products rather than new product development for right now.

Question about my 1500ds
alright. and for the y splitter, how does this 180 degrees out of phase work? If you are simply running the amps separate and un-strapped you won't need to use the phase control. If you do strap them the amps automatically take care of setting the "slave" settings, so you still don't need to do anything to the phase.

Saz-2000d
Most likely they will not be out by that time.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME EXPLAIN
I'm not even sure what he's talking about... What photos got pulled? And the only testing I did "in house" was the 3000D @ 12v and the 1000D -- all other sticky tests are third party. For that matter, even the ones I did myself have been verified over and over again. I think your friend is really confused in general... I've sold out of two production runs of 3000Ds, they are far from a prototype. I've shipped them all around the world Anyway... looks like others have answered your questions already

Question about my 1500ds
You cannot daisy chain them, the BR IN and BR OUT are for strapping *only* You would need to use a y-splitter.

Level 3 - 10" sub cone area
He probably means 387 and it's a typo.

DLS Iridium 8.3 comps, CDT ES-643, Focal 165VR3
I love the DLS Iridium line of speakers Very smooth sound... my favorite set in a car to date was the 6.3 set I had in my BMW (when I had it). Only thing it lacked, to me, was strong midbass -- which the 8.3 set should have

8 inch woofer?
Not sure if I posted before... but Sean (ibanender) did pull 143.1 dB in his CRX with one of these on the SAZ-2000D prototype running 4 ohms. This was in a small 4th order band-pass that he does listen to daily. So... SPL potential exists, but my main goal was a very good sounding 8" driver that works in a tiny box. I tested the proto daily in my Civic in a small vented box for a while before I traded the Civic in and was quite pleased with it.

8 inch woofer?
I am trying to figure out my final costs on shipping and import duties... once I get that nailed down I'll be able to release exact pricing details. As I've said before we are looking at an MSRP under $100 and a pre-order at a really good price
-
8 inch woofer?
Some other photos, this proto has the motor black: The production model will have the basket black as well.
-
8 inch woofer?
Depth is 4.25" on them. T/S will vary a bit from earlier projections but will work in about the same box sizes.
-
8 inch woofer?
Still working on this project... may start production soon with a small batch to see how they are received.

Question on 100.4
No, the line-out is always full range -- you'll be fine as long as no filters are active on the HU on the input channels.

The white makes you see on the lower edge and on the lower part of the face are scuffs. Not really deep, but they are scuffs.

SD1v2 10" review
A 1000D works nicely on a pair with proper gain settings -- that is what I was running in my Civic before I traded it in. I did the typical test for power handling, 400 RMS for an hour with no issues.

They are D4 coils so that leaves you with either 2 ohms or 1/2 ohm operation. Four of them should do fine either way.
